This animal was caught in a construction site in my school today.

I presume this is a sloth because of how slow it is.
I didn't even know we have it in Nigeria.
It a very firm grip with the limbs and the teeth.
Treat it carefully if you come across it because it bites hard (I didn't know if it's venomous)

I think this is a bush baby (galago) Sloths have these long claws they use for grip

No be Naija we dey?

By the way, OP, that's likely not a sloth. Sloths usually have 2-to-3 digits on their fore and hind limbs (varies depending on specie); but not five. Yours has five, so it's likely not a sloth.
Awawa in Yoruba.

Bro, I don't think there's ever an animal called Bush baby or Idiot all these are African parlance of naming of some animals that look weird to them.

Like for example most of them call the animal Porcupines Idiots. You can look it up in the dictionary and look up Koala also.

Kill it for food and you'll feed few people for a day.
Take it to the zoo and people will pay to see it, feeding hundreds of people for years.
