The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner For Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport Akwa Ibom State Mr. Akan Okon has pledged support for Nigerian students.

Mr. Akan Okon stated this on Wednesday when the Vice President Students Union Government (SUG), University Of Uyo, Comrade Phina Sunday Led students delegation to his office in Uyo.

The Commissioner also charged students to take their academic serious and contribute to state development as well as nation building.

Akan Okon hinted Governor Udom Emmanuel is running students friendly administration and giving youths opportunity to excel with the Deep Seaport Project.

He expressed his love for the Union and promised to support them especially as it concerns to the academic well being of Nigerian Student.


The Vice President during the visit expressed her gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner for all he has done and also presented a portrait to Mr. Okon.
