If you blame religion for the backwardness of the north, are you going to praise religion for the prosperity of many Islamic countries?.
Even though religion do play a part in someone's life, it depends on how someone use it.
Islam never encourages someone to give anyhow, marry wives anyhow and treat children anyhow, the way the North do it.
