now that every region and tribes are trying to break free from this rubbish called Nigeria which was the biggest mistake the British made as a result of their selfish interest, my region "Niger delta " will not say anything now, this is the best time for us to also start struggling for our right. our governors must unite, and start thinking of the future of Niger delta, there is nothing like one Nigeria, the northerners are using that to deceive Niger delta bcoz of crude oil.
ijaws which are the leaders of niger deltans have decided the fate of niger delta.
We are forming a country with our igbo brothers called biafra.

The present supreme court as led my Malam Tanko will not see any merit in this case. It will be struck out as expected. May God help Nigeria.

What kind of judgement would you get from a Sharia judge as CJN and also the one most likely to appoint those that will hear your case. This is like just another Election Tribunal Judgement loading.

A step in the right direction. I hope it will go up to supreme Court to settle the matter once and for all.

The most ridiculous aspect of this is that few months ago when Fulanis volunteered to start armed vigilante group to protect Yorubas in Yoruba land, the North supported then. grin What a wickedly deceitful people they are.
Copy and share the truth below if you've not.

*A MUST-Read For ALL Yorubas*
Real Yorubas don't flinch, snitch or asslick those killing our People. In fact, we effortlessly faced their massive intruding army at the Oshogbo War in 1840 and mercilessly slaughtered them enmasse like chickens. Despite them having the seeming advantage of gallant horses, they met their waterloo in our hands through the superior military Intelligence.

1. The Kano State Hisbah Board was created through the Kano State Hisbah Board Law No.4 of 2003 and the Kano State Hisbah Board (Amendment) Law No.6 of 2005 by the Kano State House of Assembly, which were duly assented to by the then Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.

Now, what Law created AMOTEKUN, by which House of Assembly, and who assented to it?

2. Under Section 7 of the Law No. 4 of 2003, Hisbah Corps were established with the duties and responsibilities set out under subsection (4) of that section, some of which include:

Rendering necessary assistance to the Police and other Security Agencies especially in the areas of prevention, detention and reporting of offences;

Handling non-fire-arms for self defence like batons, and other non-lethal civil defence instruments;

-Assisting in any other situation that will require the involvement of Hisbah be it preventive or detective.

The Law that established Hisbah Corps was categorical in not allowing them to carry fire arms or any lethal weapons for self defence.

What about AMOTEKUN? What does the law establishing it say, if at all one exists?

3. The Government of Olusegun Obasanjo through the Inspector General of Police Mr. Sunday Ehindero in a press briefing on 7th of February, 2006 declared the Hisbah Law and the operations of the bodies created by the Laws as unconstitutional and illegal.

Is AMOTEKUN even backed by any Law?

4. On 8th February, 2006 the same Inspector General of Police Sunday Ehindero ordered his officers and men to effect the arrest of the Chairman and Commander General of the Hisbah Corps, Mallam Yahaya Farouk Chedi and his Deputy Mallam Abubakar Abdulkareem Rabo. They were arrested in Kano and immediately taken to Abuja where they were detained.

Has any Commander of AMOTEKUN been arrested, despite the fact that they are not backed by any known law and are made to carry fire-arms?

Would the atmosphere not have been more volatile by now if such has happened?

5. The same Government of Olusegun Obasanjo through the Minister of Information, Mr Frank Nweke Jr. in another press briefing made serious allegations that the Hisbah had sought foreign assistance from Libya and Iran for training as a terrorist group.

Bros. Don't lose your breath. If what made it illegal is for the state government to put in place proper legislation then let our state legislator do what they re elected and being to do. This Amotekun security outfits has really exposed some sinister ND evil motives of some settlers in the southwest. And it also show that their are bigger ulterior plan in the offing. There are clear handwriting on the wall.

Be very careful taking the present FG to court in this Nigeria ..as long as Alh Tanko is at the helm of affairs of the judiciary , it’s the more you look the less you see judgments . Don’t be surprised if they proscribe Amotekun a terrorist group in the making .

This is a welcome development. Let the supreme Court settle this issue once and for all and tell us why the North can enjoy privileges that it refuses to allow the South to likewise enjoy. Hisbah is permitted to exist and operate in more than two states in the North (particularly the North West), yet the FG is frowning at Amotekun's regional character. This hypocrisy must end.
Is it this supreme court under Buhari,s puppet Tanko? Nobody should expect any good thing from this supreme court. In other news, we in the south west don't need any supreme court to interprets any thing. Whether legal or illegal, Amotekun has come to stay. Simple!

Keep talking trash, Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn has come to stay, you can use rope to kill yourself if you don't like it. As for the law, it will be presented to the state assembly in a day and same day all the Western Nigeria States will pass it into Law simultaneously without any delay.

I never knew this will generate to this level.
of course most of us know it 'll generate to this level, because the hausa-fulani oligarchy 'll want us to depend solely on their biased federal security agencies, for our safety, which can easily look-away, while their foot-soldiers decides to embark on their orgies of destructions and muders. can there be any reason that, despite thousands of lives wasted by the activities of fulani-herdsmen, not a single of the muderers have been brought to justice, yet we have a govt ?
regional policing 'll challenge their free reign of terror, especially if well managed & equiped. this the govt seemed not to like, for what ever uterior motives known to them.
i must appreciate the wisdom and courage of the yoruba leaders, for the formation of amotekun to protect their territory, while the s/e leaders seemed lost on what to do, shame on these cowardly ibo leaders !

Exactly. What the activist did is right. The court should explain the reason why the Northern states should be allowed to operate HISBAH and the South West are not allowed to have their own. Tinubu is silent over this issue now because of his political ambission/personal interest and not that he has Yoruba nation in his mind.
Gentlemen, no one should be deceived about Tinubu's silence over the Omotekun controversy. He is still in charge and is even the brain behind the Northern opposition to Omotekun; all in view of a master scheme he has in place counting down to 2023.

Simply put, by the steaming controversy over the Omotekun effectively threatening the North and SW alliance, the North will have no choice than to rely on Tinubu to keep together the alliance. This will, once again, restore to him his hitherto lost position of importance and relevance in APC at the center. Which he will exploit to the fullest to advance his chances of getting the 2023 APC Presidential ticket.

The man is really smart and is adept at exploiting - to the fullest - the Yoruba nation's political 'follow-your-leader' mentally in getting what he wants.

Don't be confused by all the grandstanding by Soyinka, Obasanjo, Falana, the SW governors etc on the Omotekun issue, they are all playing Tinubu's script - consciously or unconsciously.
THE PUPPET MASTER!!

Yoruba Muslims are confused right now. They don't know which side to support. Whether to support their terrorist Lord Buhari who is using Islam as a deceptive tool to continually enslave them or to take side with their Yoruba brothers?

The time to decide is now. whether they like it or not, the Fulanis are evil people that should placed where they belong; they have an evil agenda to dominate the whole Nigeria.

Bleep religion. protect your territory.

Hisbah was created in 2000. State government officials and other individuals interviewed by Human Rights Watch claimed that the activities of the hisbah were governed by regulations and a code of conduct, developed at the state level; however, despite many inquiries in several states, Human Rights Watch was not able to find any legislation governing their activities by mid-2003. Human Rights Watch was told that state governments had only issued “legal notices” to set up the hisbah—a form of subordinate legislation issued by the state governor, which, unlike laws, are not submitted for debate to the state houses of assembly. Eventually, the Kano State House of Assembly passed a law in late 2003 regulating the hisbah; it includes the creation of a board composed of representatives of the main security agencies (including the police and the intelligence services) to oversee the hisbah and ensure that they are carrying out their duties properly.
