Looking at the state of work in Apapa, completing the project in April doesn't seem feasible, especially the extension of the rail line to the seaport. We'll however, continue to work and redouble our efforts to complete the project and meet set targets. #LagosIbadanRail

Projects can never be completed in Nigeria at the stipulated time and it's a bad reputation which we are known for.

Anyways , it's better to be late than never

He's always missing the deadline. He needs to get the rails linked to Apapa so NRC can move the freight. The less container on the street the less traffic there'll be.

Nice efforts there by the government but why is the completion being shifted every now and there? Was a feasibility study not done on the project?

You have said it, he needs to get the tracks to the Apapa Port which was not in the original plan. The completion time will definitely change.

I wonder how long it's going to take them to get to Kano. This is just a segment of the overall route.

Rotimi and lies.
Same dude was on channels tv claiming The route is ready and just waiting for Buhari to come and commission whenever he's ready.
Also claimed Itakpe- Warri will be ready same April.
Now changing gears on Monday. How sleek

No worries, as long as there is a consistent effort. I feel the Ministers consistent monitoring and evaluation of the project is helping to keep the project ongoing and not completely stalled. Monthly inspection simply means contractor is forced to show a difference in stage of work from the last state every 30days ! If April 2020 is not feasible, then a Dec. 2020 should not be a bad time to expect completion. The expansion of the project at Apapa and the ports is also commendable. If the Lagos-Ibadan railway is all you can deliver in 5 years, that is fine. I shudder at how much infrastructural projects Nigerian govts. and ministries create and none is seen to fruition decades after.

At least, you gave a good reason.

No PDP person is allowed to say anything on this post. If for 16 years PDP did the little Amaechi is doing, we won't be here today. Yeye people.

Before you quote me, note this....I am neither PDP nor APC. Just a patriotic Nigerian.
