Very True!! In most cases, the passion is money-driven at first........ but honestly, programming is tedious and time consuming. Therefore, it takes an extra drive to keep it going till the employable/marketable stage. Thats why we have many programmers gallivanting at the beginner stage for years.

To be able to make it to marketable stage in Nigeria, only passion can save you. Cos you have alot of things to discourage you. Like power issues, high cost of data, expensive working space, little support community. If you don't have passion you will definitely fall away. Programming is not a job its a way of life. You fight with bugs everyday and think faster than your peers.
