Achike Udenwa, Redemption; Ikedi Ohakim, Let's Do More; Rochas Okorocha, Rescue Mission; Emeka Ihedioha, Rebuild Imo; and Hope Uzodinma, New Imo. For 20 years, the gubernatorial campaign slogans/themes share a striking similarity which can easily make them pass as synonyms. Isn't it unbelievable that little has changed from 1999 to date? If not, why has the thematic coincidence persisted? Status-quo, too, agrees.

Primarily, this shows Imo State is almost where she was two decades ago and most of her challenges are surviving each administration. Such knowledge is painful to possess, again highlighting time has not equated deserved massive progress for the Eastern Heartland. Would this tide turn? You can imagine time, with a hiss, telling for the umpteenth time it won't, unless unconventional leadership is let in. Would Senator Hope Uzodinma prove his mettle and stand out? I hope time brings good tidings, this time.
