I believe they noted that one would be contacted before they embark on this.

Wickedinlaw:

Jeremy23 had the experience. I only posted on his behalf

Please when do they normally do background check at PWC

Please can you enlighten us a little bit on how this background check is being carried out?

Ahhh I really don't know oo. Different firms, different methods.. But Google should give you a general view on how it is being done. But I think it's usually before offer, after interview

Now I get. Your interview is August 19th. You should be full of Joy. Nevermind. I rest my case

Mr Cflow. Hope your nerves are down now. Sure you blast the interview. Enjoy your day
Re: Pwc Graduate Recruitment 2020 by Cflow10: 3:21pm On Aug 19, 2020
Firstly, I'll like to thank everyone who took out of their time to share their experiences. It really helped and I'm sure I speak for many when I say we are grateful.

I had my interview today I'll like to think it well. I know most have written and this wont help many but for the select few and later sets this was what i was asked:
First Section : talk about the impact of going cashless on impulse buying (5 minutes)

Second Section:
1) tell us about yourself
2) why pwc
3) why are you switching from engr to acct? if shell coes wont you leave us
4) what have i been doing since january to august?
5) what have i been doing in preparation for a career in assurance services?
6) in two sentences why should we hire you?

Behavioral
1) A TIME I RECEIVED NEGATIVE FEEDBACK
2) a time i leveraged on past relationship in order to achieve a goal
3) a time i had to call up someone i wasnt very close to for a favor
4) an interesting I've done and challenges that followed
5) a time i displayed leadership and challenges that came with it
6) my likes

I hope this helps someone and you need to remain calm, I'm sure its something that will come naturally as the interview goes on and you gain confidence.

Don't think too much about it If you feel you didn't do well in the interview. If it's God's will for you to work with the firm, protocols would be broken for your sake.

I wish everyone good luck.

Be careful with the way you open mails from now oo grin

Let the countdown begin!!

True though. I have heard testimony about someone who didn't do well in the interview and still got in. Whereas some think they did well, yet were unsuccessful. Intense preparation is key but grace is what will get you in, in the end. May God help us all. Result likely to be out first Thursday in September

Most likely feedback will be sent unfailingly between Thursday, August 27th and Friday, September 4th.

Don't forget some would need to give one(1) month notice to their present employer. I believe PwC do factor this every year.

I think the virtual induction would start on Monday, October 5th.

Very true. My bet is October 5th too

I've been thinking of all the mistakes I made during the interview. Inasmuch I'm trying to be optimistic, it's not easy to overlook those things that could affect your chances.. I kept telling myself I could have done better if given a second chance....

No matter the outcome, I will still thank God for bringing me this far.

Lol. I thought I was the only one on that ship. It's normal. The fact that I could reach this stage is something I'll always be grateful for. That alone is a small win in itself.

A paradoxical statement. You said "most likely", you then said "unfailingly".

That aside grin, how did you know the induction would be virtual?

I'm doubtful it will be purely virtual. My thought is that they may spread it to their annex offices at Abuja and Port Harcourt to reduce the concentration at Landmark Towers. Those at the annex offices may connect online to the induction held in Lagos.
Just a wild speculation though.
