A historian, Ifechidere Ugwu has accused the British of favouring the Northern part of Nigeria for it’s gain.

In a series of tweet, Ifechidere Ugwu wrote “History explains that the North was 'favoured' by the British for political positions because of their puppeteering.”

The historian was reacting to a claim by Abba Sadaiki, where he accused the British of handicapping the Northern part of Nigeria because they don’t want Nigeria to be dominated by the Muslims.

The Northerners are the clog in the wheel of our progress as a nation!
Although they might disagree, but I am tempted to say shame on the UK government for sabotaging the Nigerian state by providing support for an ex-coup plotter and a dictator to wreck Nigeria.

A time will come when the South will fully wake up and collectively put an end to the deliberate attempt of the western nations to drag our people to the abbyss...

Its shameful that no state among the 36 states in Nigeria has been modeled after the UK.
I look forward to a time when Nigerians no longer desire to go look for education or better health in the UK but see our states as a source of strength.

construction of modern railways from west to the north but none of such railways is existing in the south

community policing in South was declared illegal/terrorism while herders roaming in the south with AK47
