The minster for transport recently said Lagos/Ibadan rail line may not be completed by April as initially expected. Here are some of the progress made so far.

Ebute Metta station: Ebute metta station is called a mega station because it'll be the biggest of all and also has two terminals.

* Papalanto and Agege station (design 1& 2)

* inside one of the coaches (Economy class, 3rd pic and First class, 4th pic)

Note: A wagon plant is being built in Papalanto, Ogun state. Mr. Rotimi Ameachi have this to say about it..

We agreed with the Chinese that they will build a Wagon Assembly Plant in #Nigeria. Will start off assembling wagons. 5 years after, will start manufacturing wagons & assembling locomotives & coaches; 10 years later, will start manuf. locos & coaches.

Well, even if it's not 100% , i am proud of what this government especially Minister of transport is achieving so far

This administration is probably not going to take the glory for this beauty , but it will forever be in the history books , the investment alone is making some engineers very rich , transport / shipping companies are getting richer , the ones who complain all the time are idiots who sit behind computer all day just to complain

Nigeria will be great again , but it will have to start somewhere and THIS IS SOMEWHERE !!!!

Good
The key to success is realising that our big goals aren’t going to happen overnight, in the next week or maybe even the next year but this is okay

Lack of appreciation and gratefulness can lead us down

Thank you FG for making this happen and thanks to the Chinese people

If GMB had kept his promise on rail transportation agenda.
Nigeria would have settled their transportation issues.

Nice job though

Good job and I hope same infrastructal facilities development will be well replicated across board to foster economic growth via offering an effective mode of transportation services in the country at least.

Are these speed trains? If they are, then this initiative will seriously decongest some parts of Lagos. Imagine living in Abeokuta and you can get to CMS under one hour, or Ibadan, Ore, Oyo and you can get to CMS/Obalende in 50 mins to an hour. Not only will it improve the distribution of wealth, traffic will lessen in Lagos and govt will earn revenue.

They shouldn't bring trains that will use 5 hours from Ibadan to Lagos, they'll be pretty useless

This is a very good development and when this is completed people can conveniently be living in ibadan or Abeokuta and working in Lagos. All you need to do is take a train from ibadan straight to lagos and back.
It will discongest our roads , it will boost tourism and above all will improve the standard of living. Rather than spending 3 hours in traffic you spend 1 hour or less to get to your destination

This is a welcome development,

Transport Infrastructure is very important to the transportation of trade and commerce within cities or towns.

Bearing in mind how precarious and dangeroud Lagos Ibadan expressway is.

Just jump on the train and in 1 hour you are in Ibadan

Im so excited for this.

Very smart entreprenouers would start looking for land now around the final stop of the station in Ibadan, things such as hotels, malls, shopping centres can easily pop up there.

Imagine leaving lagos the same day to go shopping in ibadan and return back the same day by train. This is how big cities were built
