The Guninea-Bissau is seeking assistance from Nigeria in rice production to enable the foreign nation to meet its food sufficiency, food security and nutrition targets.

According to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, this was made public at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja when the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono, received the Guinean Ambassador to Nigeria, Henrique Adriano Da Silva.

Da Silva, according to a statement from the FMARD, was at the ministry alongside the Country Representative of the Food and Agricultural Organisation, Suffyan Koroma.

It stated that the request was based on the successes recorded by Nigerian farmers in the production of rice.

It said the success in rice production in Nigeria could be tied to the provision of improved rice seedlings, farm inputs and the anchor borrowers’ facility by the Federal Government.

Nanono said the ministry would assist Guinea-Bissau in terms of personnel training and technical assistance in rice value chain.

He was, however, quick to note that establishing bilateral agreements between the two governments were absolutely necessary.

He promised to meet with the Guinean minister of agriculture to commence the initiative.

Da Silva had earlier stated that rice value chain was the core of Guinean agriculture, which saw Guinea exporting rice to other countries such as Angola, Mozambique and Portugal.

He further stated that 90 per cent of rice consumed in his country was imported, which was why the government was seeking assistance from Nigeria.

They can see we are getting it right even from outside Africa but those wailing zombies from within will somehow dream, think, imagine, fantasize, shiiit, and vomit otherwise just to satisfy their dementia

So these people are interested in the stony rice this current dispensation has been feeding us with? It's hightime Guinea had their fair share of it. But it will be better if Guinea sticks to her imported rice. Imported rice was #13.5k before Oga closed border. Now stony rice goes for 18k

We have to commend the Buhari government on this rice revolution.

Although we ain’t there yet, but I’m sure Nigeria will be self-sufficient in rice production if we are following this trajectory.

Just that we need to invest more in mechanized farming and irrigation system so that our farmers can increase their yield. We shouldn’t be dependent on season/rain at this age of human advancement.

Wow this is great. The surge in rice production in the country in recent times is absolutely brilliant. If we can achieve self dependence in agriculture alone, we will stand tall again. cool

A reliable source from Aso Rock told me that even the president himself does not consume locally produced rice. He still patronize foreign made rice.

This might be for you :

Please read it attentively

What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world but looses his soul, what shall he give in exchange for his soul.

If you are reading this and you don’t know Jesus yet neither have you accepted him as your lord and saviour, I welcome you to receive him into your life.

You are the reason why he died many years ago.
Yes you. Apostle Paul said “this is a reasonable and accepted saying, that Jesus died for sinners of whom I am a chief”

Please don’t allow his death to go in vain over you.
He loves you , he really does.

You might be a church goer, it is of no use if you don’t have a relationship with the owner of the church.

Rev 3:20 He stands at the door of your life and is calling you to come now. Please answer this call and be saved.

Malaysia sought assistance from Nigeria on palm oil production and today they are the largest producer in the world.

Now, Guinea are at our doorstep seeking for assistance in rice production. If you know you know.
