the cloud is gathering, the storm is building gradually. at this point messi don't need a weather man to tell him the direction of the wind.
his grunt is all about him exonerating himself from the failures and flaws. he is a brand not just a player so it is not expected of him to complain like an ordinary player.

That's why I loathe the Europe continental style of DOF- Director of Football,who ,at times,makes irresponsible decisions, as opposed to the Manager style.
The DOF buys players the players don't want. But the manager knows exactly what he wants.
