Useless backward failure of a minister. Instead of the idiot to hide his head in shame for not having anything meaningful to contribute in the 5 years of his being a minister, he’s here talking about Nollywood. What has nollywood got to do with his ministerial position?

Reason this way - In south africa where HIV is prevalent, there exist an acclaimed HIV cleansing ritual carried out by Witch Doctors. After some activities including sacrifices are completed, the HIV male patient has to sleep with a virgin which means he will get cured and the Virgin will get the HIV he had. Out of every single arrest made the virgin raped had HIV but there was no instance where a male patient who committed rape was cured of the Virus. Now, despite the publications after various arrests, a rural south African man still believes that he can get cured of HIV by sleeping with the virgin. He probably asks himself the question " if the ritual was fake, why are people raping virgins and why do the virgins raped have HIV?" instead of the most important question "if the ritual was real, why is the Male HIV patient not cured? "

It is the same question I will ask you today. In a country where everyone arrested for money ritual seems to be poor, living in a remote village, inside a hut
or one bedroom apartment and there has been never one valid arrest made among residents of Lekki phase one or Banana Island why do citizens ask the question " if money rituals is fake why do people kill and severe body parts of others at a shrine?" and not the questions- " why are those caught in the act of ritual killings not among the top richest people in their country, state, local government, or village? " , "why are they usually wretched ?" , "How does undocumented spiritual money suddenly gets its way into the banking system without the Central Bank and commercial Banks noticing a one billion Naira that was not gotten from anywhere and doesn't raise an alarm (remember according to the Money laundering Act, a person cannot deposit more than just 5 million naira by cash)."
"Why do people believe that when a supposed ritualist gives you money for a business, the business would fold up, yet this supposed ritualist deposits same money with a commercial bank and the bank doesn't fold up but rather yields interest from the money. "

The answer ,I guess , is Our Belief system passed down by local media and folklore . It's my opinion though, I do not rebuke yours. Everyone is entitled to his thinking, a man cannot learn or be taught what he already knows. I know nothing just like no one knows everything.

You have spoken well

So Yule Edochie has started performing ritual roles in Nollywood? Wow! That will be interesting to watch. Meanwhile, Fashola should go and concentrate on his scam ministerial work and stop pokenosing into Nollywood Affairs.

if it was a myth , it wouldn't be increasing so rapidly. It's real and those who indulge in it know. Nemesis would surely catch up with them, it's a matter of time.

This is a fallacy.

The increase in money rituals does not mean money rituals work. It means people believe money rituals work. Two different things. That a lot of idiots kill people thinking it helps them does not mean it actually works.

For all the money rituals, there are less than 20 Nigerians among the top 2000 richest persons in the world. An American working in an investment bank has a starting all-in salary of over $100k and within 5 years would be earning 500k USD which is more than what purported ritualists in Nigeria have. What does that tell you? Money rituals don't work, it's just that we have a stupid and unintelligent populace

Ibo film.... Money rituals
Wicked uncle, wicked step mother, someone must confess, the dead must fight back, once poor now rich will show the people that didn't help pepper. Same storyline no creativity

Yoruba film... Money rituals, stealing, thuggery, wife cheats on husband, husband cheats on wife, prostitution is a norm, thieves make it and retire to enjoy the spoils off their Ill gotten wealth, witches everywhere, even just this evening they just finished showing "ololo",promiscuity extraordinaire.

The recent films made by the likes of Genevieve make solid sense. I hope they continue that way.

Any lady, to me o, that watches Africa magic, both Yoruba and Ibo, is not reliable. For what you watch influences you. Generally television na rubbish dey there. I prefer pornhub or Xnxx to any station anytime. At least that one exercises my dogo
grin

Exactly. Why do people always bring up that question of "If it was fake why are people doing it ?"

1000 years ago the whole world believed that Earth was flat and the sun moved around the Earth. Early scientists were killed for apostasy when they said the Earth was spherical and moved around the sun. Because everyone believed the Earth was flat doesn't make the Earth flat.

Remember when many people believed that kola and salt bath could prevent Ebola lol.

Sad but true.. observe the current trend if yahoo and compare to the movies and music of ten to twenty years ago and you know why there is so much yahoo and prostitution in the society.

We promoted a movie culture of easy money and soft work.

Lack of intelligence is why people would think an increase in ritual killing means money rituals are effective. It only means people are becoming desperate. On no occasion has any of these people caught declare that their charms were effective.

There are still hundreds of thousands of Nigerians who believe that there are charms that can make you bulletproof

What can you say about Nigerian music/songs?

The error on his statement is that he is generalizing.

Some Nlanders on first page went tribal when it shows only igbo actors and actress, not forgotten that Yoruba movies are the worst .

The laws and constitutions are there, anybody who is found guilty will be punished. Nollywood has done nothing wrong.

Every individual is entitled to his/her own opinion, it all differs the way we see things.

Thank God BIAFRA restoration is our only hope.

Nollywood was created by Yoruba, Fulani and some sycophantic Igbo political terrorists to diverting people's attention while these terrorists used the opportunity to steal, destroying and massacring those exposing their evil terrorists agendas.

Biafra Nation will give us the best radio and television programs that restores respects to the people of the land.

It is either rituals, family crisis, witchcraft, village and family hatred or Love making. I support Fashola on this. Nollywood is always portraying an evil of the society.
It doesn't work that way, they release films according to the happenings around them, don't compare Nigerian to western countries where technology is ruling

LordKO:
The major problem lies with people who fail to understand that movies are more of fiction than fact therefore the stories/actions aren't always waking life realities.

The very moment you start believing everything you watch on movies, or if they start influencing your thoughts and actions, stop watching them.

In fact, anyone who allows what s/he sees on movies to influence him isn't fit to be called an adult.

Exactly.
Especially those who grew up believing this nonsense till now.
