at noon, arrived in kolkata, the giant city i arrived in the first day. Howrah station was its name.

secured a fan room in a safe hotel. 18000naira for 3 nights. i would like to sleep in the multiple room, but there were indians and bangladeshi. i did not want to share a room with them.

i looked for half an hour, and in a expat area i finally found a shop for beer. 300 naira. local brand, only this brand for sale.

woke up at 3am. lied on the ground waiting for the sunrise, which was at 5am (very early, due to the unitary time zone of india based on the delhi zone, which was 2 hours actually later than kolkata ) . woke up the hotel staff and went out to have a stroll. 1 Like

walked to the flower market under the bridge. walked about 40minutes. marked down the route on google in the hotel before i went, no sim card for my phone, no internet outside for me. 1 Like

a nearby GLADIATOR/wrestler training camp. they wanted me to pay to take photos, attitude quite rude , viewed me suspiciously and ensured that i would not snap a photo.

later a mother and a daughter from UK came, the indian wrestlers wriggled their heads like a bunch of flattering dogs, volleying out all sweet words to invite them to enjoy a performance of wrestling, with a pittance paying of 500rupee equivalent to 2500naira. but this pair of whites were not idiotic walking ATM machines. they declined. actually, i would pay, if they behaved politely to me earlier. 3 Likes 1 Share
