last night was too dark, this was what i snapped the next day, adam's bridge , railway and highway, crossing the sea, connecting the continent to the final tip of india.

leaned out of the open window, every cabin had two windows without bars, escape windows. but they did not need this, the doors were always open.

it was very exhilarating. all of us, indians and me, kept taking photos and rushing all cabin around.

these bridges seemed like a national proud for indians.

the iconic ramaswaram signage. the final stop for indian railway network in the most south point.

actually, the train shambled past the adam's bridge and kept going slowly into the island for 20 minutes, and stopt finally.

but after this, there was still a 20 km isthmus , leading to the REAL south tip of sub continent. i needed to take a tuk tuk . no railways there.

on a tuk tuk. forget how much money. negotiable. the driver wanted to charge me more by being a guide too. but i reclined, i just needed his transport. i could see by myself. and i only wanted to see the final tip. no interest to know the fortress on the way.

30 minutes, 20km, big gust, wide eye scope, beautiful !

cloudy day, but no rain. the salty smell with flying sands beating my mouth.

this isthmus was as narrow as maybe 20 meters wide. both sides were sea water. a good-quality tarmac road was leading to the horizon .

ramaswaram , the end of india !

5 km away is sri lanka. can be seen if not cloudy.

long long beach dwindled and diminished to a tip, and no more but sea ! stunning !

bt the same way back to the railway station. the same driver took me .

stayed at the seaside for half an hour. the driver was accompanying me, but he was shy, not appearing in the photo with me.

he was very dark, a typical south indian and sri lanka man.

heard a hindu temple around, just went check it. but i was not a hindu, no interest to be inside, especially they requested me to take off my shoes and stash away my phone or cameras !

phone coffer shop. but i did not want to keep my phone here. so, i did not enter the temple. said that the temple was famous for its tortuous underground labyrinth with grottos.

but not allowed to take photos, then why should i go inside ?

a mendicant sitting opposite to me, i doubted he was a little bit "sham".

was he really an ascetic monk or was he just an "amateurish" one for tourist photos ?

local doughnuts , breakfast by the guy sitting opposite to me. he was wearing a tie. looked liked a commuter. the train fee was so cheap, some people took it as a way to get to work in the city.
