isthatso: Baba it is not the duty of legislatures to declear what should be or what should not be. If the government felt protesting is becoming unsafe, she will need to approach a court and tell the court why the latter should stop the protest. What the house just did is highly unlawful. 1 Like |

Powersurge: Actually, it is!! that is the only reason they exist to pass laws to regulate society. Everybody else functions based on the laws they pass. executive, judiciary and the citizens. Do you understand the meaning of unlawful. If an assembly passes a law it becomes law end of story. Clearly they felt your protests were constituting a nuiscance to society. Like i said na only una lose election? 1 Like |

A welcome development. Imo state must not be used as a fertile ground for failed politicians to settle scores. Those who think otherwise should gather their immediate family and do the protest. But any sponsored protest by the enemies to destroy Imo state must not be allowed. The Supreme court has ruled and so shall it be. PDP must understand that they are not the only party in Imo state more so Ihedioha must be told that he’s not the first and last to lose his mandate. Agbasi from Owerri lost his in 2007 and moved on and Ihedioha from Mbaise should be careful 2 Likes 1 Share |

Those Law Makers Are Illiterates That Dont Know What The Law Says |
Re: Imo House Of Assembly Bans Protests by Powersurge: 7:19pm On Feb 13, 2020 |
isthatso: Pls stop quoting me with this your sense of "lawful". Have you read the Constitution before? Did you not see it there that any law that contradicts the Constitution is null and void? No house can pass any law to declare protests as illegal. |
Re: Imo House Of Assembly Bans Protests by Farki: 7:22pm On Feb 13, 2020 |
We should protest this ban. |
Re: Imo House Of Assembly Bans Protests by Nobody: 7:26pm On Feb 13, 2020 |
Powersurge: My friend, The law exists and until you go to court to challenge it it remains law and will be enforced. When people behave like imbeciles, you have to treat them like imbeciles. A whole party chairman protesting in front of Eu and US embassy. Did you see Nwosu or Uzodima's people protesting all the time the other fellow was governor? what is wrong with you people? Democracy is for people who respect the process, People that have no shame or respect for the process will be treated like animals. Na only you lose election? |

Wiseandtrue: Faulty? It is beyond faulty. The SC actively participated in rigging an election. I’m not into politics at all, but here is what someone into Imo politics wrote (and u just know he is telling the truth): Imo people did not vote for Hope! Hope didn't even campaign in Imo because of the APC crises between him and Rochas who was fronting his in-law, Uche Nwosu. On the day of the election, Hope and some APC loyalists were lodged in a Hotel in Owerri writing results after INEC announced result. They brought the results and were compelling returning officer to announce but he refused that it was fake that even party reps have raised the alarm. 1 Like 2 Shares |
