The westerners (white people) have a lot of luxury, space and time to do a lot of experiments. If I didn't study abroad, I won't have believed it. The whole town is quite, no noisy neighbors. Food is cheap and plenty. Transport is available 24/7. Postal system works Police actually catches thief when you report. Everybody can read and write. They all speak same language So everybody understands every other person. No communication barriers. Everybody went to Secondary school with teachers.
Things just work. I studied at a Uni in 2005 and their library had latest 2005 books. They change all the books every year to latest version

In such an environment, scientist are bound to arrive at solutions to problems very quickly.

That's misplaced priority. First of all, how will they test the efficacy of their discoveries? And how will they know it works unless the have an infected patients or the sample of the virus to test it with? How will they get the virus sample to test? You will end of having people who work for their selfish interest thereby working against the interests of the general public.

This is an unworkable solution.

Why not call for the assembly of the best scientist and biochemist in Nigeria, give them a good lap, feed them, provide 24 hrs electricity with the best electronic gadgets and laboratory equipments and have them work together towards having a solution to the virus?
