Why Nigeria Has Failed To Progress by PHijo(m): 7:51pm On Feb 14, 2020 |
One of the reasons Nigeria has failed to progress is that Nigerians are fond of telling themselves lies and half truths. Today the same people who supported the supreme court's ruling on Buhari vs Atiku, Uzodinma vs Ihedioa are against the ruling in Bayelsa and those who condemned the rulings that favoured Buhari and Uzodonima are happy this ruling favoured Diri. Why can't we stand by the truth and forget about our personal interest? The the pursuit of personal interest we've lost everything. As individuals, communities, ethnic nations or the country at large. 30 years ago Nigeria was respected all over the world. Today, even in neighbouring west African countries we are despised. Let us support what and who is right even if we , our family, community or ethnic nation doesn't stand to benefit from it directly. Nigeria is a mess because of this selfish, short sighted attitude. 2 Likes 1 Share |
