Hello, Nigeria friends,
My name is Alex Yang from an IT company based in Beijing, China. We are developing an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) program. ASR is technology that converts spoken words into text. For your more specific understanding, we are developing a Hausa language recognition program. Hausa is the largest ethnic group in Nigeria and Hausa is a beautiful language. I hope that Hausa friends are delighted hearing this news. Imagine one day in the very near future when you hold a conversation with a foreigner, say Chines, in your proudful Hausa Language, but through ASR technology we can understand your Hausa language. At present, we are at the stage of data collection, i.e. to collect Hausa text and record voice from 150 Hausa native speakers. We also need Hausa language specialist to proof the Hausa text and voice recording. We will pay appropriate fee for the work.
If you are qualified and interested in our program, for more information please contact me via wechat app. My wechat ID is 909701941 or email me at 909701941@qq.com.
Thanks

voicecollector:
We are an IT company based in Beijing, China. We are developing a Hausa voice recognition program and currently collect Hausa voice samples from native speakers. All you need is to prepare a Hausa text of different scenarios and read it out and record the voice with your smartphone.
1. Personnel requirements: You can either record your own voice or from other qualified speakers. The speaker must speak native Hausa language with official or standard accent. There is basically no gender or age requirement.
2. Text message and scenario requirement:
a) Textbooks, articles and poems 20% of high school and University texts
b) News, newspaper, media 15% life and entertainment news
c) Speech, report, meeting 10% celebrity speech, report
d) Movies, novels, essays 10% life, love movies or novels
e) Popular science, encyclopedia and papers 15% of popular science articles related to life
f) Chat, dialogue, Q & A: 20% daily chat, dialogue, FAQ
g) Other 10% other daily life scenes
3. Reading and recording requirement: After we agrees to your prepared Hausa text, the speaker read sentences and completes 1100 sentences. The speaker needs to pronounce naturally, fluently and clearly without stuttering or pause in sentences. Use your smart phone to record your reading and the recording environment must be quiet without noise, echo, etc.
4. We need voice samples from 150 people. The payment terms will be discussed discretely.
If you are interested, for more information you can add me on wechat app. My wechat ID is 909701941. You can choose a Hausa text and email to me at 909701941@qq.com.
