Guys, I need your assistance.

Wiffy informed me that shaft had problem and she approached a roadside mechanic that bought the two shafts for 8,000 naira. It was difficult removing and replacing the head but they forcefully fix the head after all. Hours after (at night), gear oil started leaking which I learnt was stopped using a seal.

Two days after, car isn't switching to reverse mode and scan showed that there is gear problem.

My mechanic is attributing the problem to wrong shaft head and a new shaft must be bought at 35,000 naira before talking of the gear issue.

I need your advices, please

Your gear box (Automatic transmission) has been damaged by the mechanic. Don’t even listen to the mechanic asking you to fix any xyz in the transmission. Just buy a new transmission (gear box) and save yourself money and stress in the long run.

You bought shaft head of 8000 when original one is 35000. Now you would spend over 100000 for gearbox and still buy original shaft head.

What was bought initially was shaft head, now a complete shaft is needed. It is not about original or fake
