I have been hearing these stories for a long time.

Once someone introduces themselves that they are from AKwa Cross, then the next question is.....

So you eat human being?

So let's settle this once and for all, Do these people eat humans?

What's the story behind this story? Why haven't it been banned by the State government.?
Or the Federal Government?

If you shars the same apartment with a Calabar person are you going to wake up in his pot of soup?

I think it's only the Annang people that do that. But as usual no one can differentiate us as outsider's all know us as Calabar/Akwa Ibom

Don't mind Nigerians it's stupid cultural stereotypes
E.g
Yoruba women all sleep around
All igbos are cheats and money seekers
All Northerners are uneducated
All Fulanis are killer herdsmen
All Edo/Esan are witches and wizards
All Calabars are cannibals
All ijaw/bayelsa men are lazy....

Dare to live outside this rubbish mindset and you may be mistaken for a foreigner...beacuse this is how most Nigerians reason.

When God wanted to scatter the world and end their development of a mighty tower he separated their language....

When lugard wanted to build his own tower he gathered people of more than 500 langauges and 1500 dialets and put them all together.ERROR

They eat strangers. The stranger is persuaded to visit. And from there he or she is kidnapped and taken to the cannibal ground

Well, it’s true that a part of Akwa Ibom eat humans, it’s a part in the “Anang” tribe. They sometimes lay ambush for human prey, it happened to my mum’s colleague. He was sent there on official assignment and one day he was driving on one lonely road like that and some children were walking on the side of the road, soon the other children pushed one child to the road and he almost hit the child but was quick to hold his break. As soon as he stepped out of his car to examine the child, he saw men with cutlass coming out of the bush. He quickly rushed into his car and zoomed off to the police station and reported himself, already those men were on their way to the police station. Soon they started chanting for the police to release the man, police said No, they didn’t still move. The police had to use forceful measures.
As soon as they left, the police told the man that he should thank God for saving his life. That those men would have killed him had it been he didn’t act smart to come to the station. They told him that the child that was pushed to the road was a trap and the child was okay. They told him to leave the village ASAP

I wonder why people can't differentiate between Calabar and Akwa Ibom
It freaks me out when peeps in Warri call me 'Calabar' when I have actually been to Calabar only two times on my long life

I am from akwa ibom, we don't eat humans neither calabar do. If it is so many indigens would have confirm it just like an ngwa man in abian state Will profusely tell you it true among some communities in ngwa.
But what is certain is that an Annang man can vehemently get angered and can kill without minding even if is his son. Be as it may be, if you still thought why not pay a visit.

I must tell you, awka ibom people are good people, i have a girlfriend who is from there, i also served there 'in a village called uquo ,esit-eket LGA....but i won't be committing a fallacy of hasty generalization .

There are few Akwa Ibom natives that feed on humans...let me tell you a short story.

Many years ago in year 2000, i was still around 8yrs old when we relocated to a remote part of Nasarawa state from Kaduna, then our apartment still have lot of vegetations around because the area was still uninhabited with just few buildings around....i was just playing and decided to go and catch butterflies in a vegetation behind my house, suddenly cutlass flew passed me and as i spurned around, i saw this dark skin man which i believed came to get grasses for his goat, immediately a ran out of the bush but never told anyone about it. This man is someone i know, because due the scanty population i knew almost everyone around d small neighborhood.

Then i never knew his intention for throwing cutlass at me but now i have a strong believe his intentions were to probably get me unconscious and butcher me like a dog... i would had been a good hunt for him if not for God.

This said man is from Akwa Ibom state. I am 28 now, and still see this same man whenever i visit my parents.
