Car advertising technology company, www.wrapyt.com, is changing the Nigerian outdoor advertising market by partnering with high-mileage private car owners and e-hailing car drivers who are interested in having their cars wrapped in an advertising message for a fee.

“Wrapyt is the future of out-of-home advertising. Our partner drivers will expect to make anywhere from N40,000 to as much as N100,000 monthly depending on the campaign budget. It is also interesting to note that payments will be made every week to the partner drivers on a campaign.” says Wrapyt Chief Executive Officer, Taiye Adeyemi.

With an increase in the number of time and fuel wasted in traffic, poor economy and rising expenses, it has become important for everyone to find an extra source of income. Wrapyt is one good source of regular income, all that is required is to drive just as the drivers normally do daily.

With increasing uneasiness from brands and marketers about how much of their ad budget is being wasted thanks to online ad-blockers, sliding digital billboards and nearly hidden placements, Wrapyt is certain the roads are where high consumer engagements will happen.

According to Wrapyt Co-founder and Head of Business Development, Frankie Amamize, “We are happy to create the first ad platform that creates economic value to consumers by paying them through the use of their primary asset, their car. With the use of a GPS enabled mobile application, Wrapyt can track live daily commute of all partner drivers, create a geo-fence around selected campaign locations and provide accurate data on daily miles driven,”

Wrapyt which is based in Lagos, Nigeria and launched in February 2020, takes an idea that’s long been in the marketplace — wrapping cars with brand and marketing messages — and drives it into the 21st century. The Wrapyt Partner Drivers must be 18 years old or over, own or lease a clean vehicle, be a high-mileage commuter and pass a background check before being assigned to any campaign.

Linda Chukwuka-Adeyemi, who is also a Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer stated that “Wrapyt now creates an opportunity for brands to bridge the gap between outdoor and digital advertising, by retargeting consumers who have been exposed to the car advertising for better attribution in understanding what happens when the audience interacts with a car advertisement.”

Wrapyt has kicked off operations in Lagos state and aims to expand to other commercial states within Nigeria in the coming months. The company has signed up about 1,000 drivers, who can average a distance of 5,000 miles and generate an estimate of 2.4 million impressions per wrapped car monthly.
