As part of control measures towards preventing the outbreak of deadly coronavirus, Angola has placed an immigration restriction on seven countries with records of reported cases of the spreading epidemic.

Legit.ng notes that since its outbreak in China, coronavirus has been responsible for thousands of death with over 89,000 people across 58 countries already put on the red line of the infection.

With the death toll standing on over 3,000 marks, Angolan authorities have banned nationals of seven countries from entering their country pending the time the virus would cease from posing threats to the international community.

A statement released by minister of health of the country said travellers from China, South Korea, Nigeria, Egypt, Iran, Italy and Algeria will not be allowed into the country henceforth, Angolan Press Agency reports.

The source, however, clarified that nationals of the aforementioned countries who travelled from a third country would not be denied entry into the country.

Why is the USA not on that list?

I'm in Angola and can't leave again. If not I can't come back in. Useless decision. They want to fight the virus but letting USA with over 100 cases and 6 deaths, France, Portugal, UK, Brazil, all cases but can enter. Then Nigeria with no single infected Nigerian is banned into the country. Egypt with their only case been confirmed negative is also banned.

Africa doesn't respect itself. If we can't respect ourselves, the world will continue to ridicule us. They know they can't ban USA or Portugal cos that's where dem de eat. But it'll be them to majestically bring in the virus into Angola.

Angolan Government must be mad. Instead of banning countries that pose risk (China, Italy, etc), they are banning Nigerians.

Safety measures. This isn't funny on any nations economy.

Why didn't they ban people from the United States? United States has 129 cases so far and yet they weren't banned by the Angolan government. What a joke.
