Not more dan 100k and either a neatly used or new phone.
Any oda better phone that you know.
I'm currently using Samsung NOTE 4 and LG 5.
I want peak performance and a phone dat will last, my Samsung is 4yrs now and I bought it London used.
I've been planning for Samsung Note 9 but e b like my budget no cover am plus one important thing I need is for the chipset to SNAPDRAGON.

The Samsung Note 8/Note 9 is miles and miles better than redmi note 7 or 8 if you can get a mint one go ahead.

The two phones are actually good.
The Samsung Note 9 is likely going to be faster ( just a guess ) due to it's processor but the Mediatek Processor in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is a newer version that is actually much faster than "almost all" Snapdragon processors.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro has both the fingerprint sensor and face unlock features while the Samsung Note 9 has the fingerprint sensor and an eye sensor.
For Camera, the Redmi Note 8 pro will completely obliterate the Samsung Note 9 with it's 64 MP main camera and GCAM installed compared to the Note 9's 12MP double rear cameras. The redmi has a 20MP front camera compared to the 8 MP of the Samsung Note 9.
They both have similar screen resolution but that of the Samsung is pretty high at over 500 ppi. The Redmi note 8 pro has a bigger battery of 4,500 mAh compared to 4,000 mAh of the Samsung Note 9

The Redmi note 8pro is Android 9 pie while the Samsung Note 9 is Android 8.1
The Redmi note 8 pro has a gorilla glass 5 front and back while the Samsung has a Gorilla glass 5 front, a glass back and a steel frame
They both support fast charging
The Redmi may also have an IR Blaster ( the ordinary Redmi 8 and the Redmi note 8 also have it ) which allows you to send wireless signals to appliances with IR receivers especially your home Television which means you can actually change your TV channel with your phone acting as the TV remote.

Good review you tried to be unbiased as you can but you are still not on the fence with you titling in favour Of redmi note 8 camera MP does not translate to a batter camera it just captures more pixels so when you enlarge on photo or big screen there is little or no loss of details the camera sensor And sometimes software is what gets you a better picture not mega Pixels
