RB Leipzig have apologised to a group of Japanese guests who were asked to leave Sunday's home match against Bayer Leverkusen amid coronavirus concerns.

Stewards at the game were told to conduct "increased checks on groups of persons from potential risk areas".

Germany's DPA news agency reported that a group of about 20 visitors were told to leave 10 minutes after kick-off.

"We would like to and must apologise for this mistake at this point," said the Bundesliga club.

"Unfortunately, in this specific case, due to the great uncertainty that currently exists in our country about this topic, a mistake was made in the interpretation of the recommendations to our Japanese guests."

Germany has reported 150 cases of the virus.
The club have since met with the group - part of a delegation attending a course on sports business in Leipzig - and invited them to attend another game.

In a statement, the delegation said: "We were aware at all times that this incident occurred due to the concern associated with coronavirus, and not due to anything else."

It said there had been a "constructive exchange" between all parties involved.

This may not be necessary. Can they do the same to Italians?
How about if other countries treat all Germans same way?
I think the proper thing to do is to test all of them if they are truly scared.
I feel for those Japanese! cry And I hope they understand, because with the current outbreak, every country would like to protect her citizens.

So they should round them up inside the stadium, take them to the lab, collect blood and screen for the Corona virus?
On top how much ticket to watch ball?

He referred to Germany as West Germany.

He called Ondo state Edo Central.

In Ekiti state last year, he said he came into office in 2005.

He ordered the IG of Police & the military chiefs to relocate to Benue & Borno respectively & did they truly comply?

Never forget.

They did the right thing both by ejecting them then apologizing. People from high risk regions must be placed on high alert. It's not profiling it's just being careful. If Nigeria had done same thing to an Italian coming from a high risk region like Italy, we wouldn't be having the breakout risk we're now battling.

What breakout is Nigeria battling presently?
Have more people been diagnosed with the corona virus other than the single Italian man?
Are you aware of some information other Nigerians don't have?
Now, regarding this Germany faux pas, the10 Japanese delegates are already in the Germany, and if they had corona virus would have spread it to the Germans. Dont forget, they also landed at one of the German airports, they are staying in a hotel in Germany and would probably have gone on some other tourist sites in Germany.
Enough places to have spread the virus, so sending them out of a game and not putting them under quarantine is stupidity at it's peak or perhaps simply racist.
The only persons who should put others under quarantine are appropriate authorities, and i'm sure the game people don't have such authority making me think they were been racist.

Don't you think the '' Italian victim'' story is a fluuke by Nigerias Ministry of Health to raise funds for the Ministry, as their counterparts in Ministry of Defense are doing?

Has anyone seen the picture of the Italian CoVID-19 victim?

I mean such announcements should have been made prior to match day for voluntary testing.
