Please, spare your energy on this issue. Let them spend the money as they want. The reason for the secrecy of the bill is because of the lopsided nature of the utilization of the loan in the first place. Government of perfidy. The more they sideline the east the more the east progresses.

grin we would marginalize you till year 3023, besides you cant you see East-West road.. and we know your dream as an ibo man is always to cross river niger and come to the west to hustle

You see why I don't take many of you folks seriously. Many of you don't even travel out of your region but claim to know every part of Nigeria based on hear say. A simple google search would have saved you from being naive to say that the East-west road is in the south east. FYI, the road is located in the south south and doesn't cross any SE state.

No project for Delta State? Our oil money is continuously being used to develop other regions. Where is Papa E. K Clark? Where are the Niger Delta freedom fighters when you need them most?

The way the ordinary Nigerian is experiencing hardship, you think he is sacrificing so life will be better tomorrow.

But that's not the case it's hardship for nothing.

You borrow from westerners, you pay their companies the money to build infrastructure for you, so people will know you are working, meanwhile the money you borrowed is gone, interest is sitting there waiting for you. Most of the project fit abandon n cast.

Where is the value created?

Teach Nigerians to build and maintain road, bridges, to produce food, to install, maintain and expand power supply. These are the activities every country will be engaged in till eternity. Contract here contract there, juicy contracts, audio contract, feasibility study, panels, subcommittees, etc

Na people, humans na him dey develop him environment no be money dey develop environment.

See all the mansions build in Lagos and Abuja all empty and dusty.

What do Nigerians want? When are we? Where are we going to?

Madam pass me one plate of fresh fish pepper soup and one bottle of whiskey make I take reason this matter.

22 billion dollars, in Aisha's voice...Bubu we need to talk.

Actually there is nothing wrong in borrowing. All these developed and developing countries our people are running to built there infrastructures and nation with borrowed money.

US is the most indebted nation in the world. Even China's debt is high.

But those countries channel these borrowed money to critical areas. Take for example only steady 24hours light in Nigeria will add great value to the economy and quality of life of the common man. Likewise good accessible road networks.

But what we are against is channeling the money to irrelevant, unproductive and looting things.

Lagos - Kano standard guage alone is more than anything abacha ever stole in his entire lifetime

Dasuki isnt in court for a 2 billion dollars theft case.

$22.7B is biggest external loan in Nigeria history, and Education sector will get a mere $500m? That's how poorly this incompetent jihadi president values education!

Rest of the loan will mostly go to the North! Bravo North, you won again. One Nigeria, right?

This is complete bullshit, a man with about 3years left in governace and and more than 77years in age wants to borrow 27 Bn USD for some frivolous project with out explaining how those project will impact the masses. The real problem here is not borrowing the money but rather how do we intend to pay back this loan.
Today as I write, you all know that the present government of the day has been unable to fund the yearly project but the country wants to go ahead and borrow humongous amount of money which even if we sell the whole of the north and it's rulers together to vacate the loan the country will still have residual debt left behind.

Pls, I call on southerners and middle beltans to let's put our differences aside and fight these pillagers from the core north in government whose sole aim is to leave a legacy of debt for our unborn children. We need to start telling ourselves the truth, the north contribute virtually nothing to the government in terms of revenue and they have become a moral burden due to the resources deployed to ameliorate their living conditions.

Mambilla dam, East West road, Calabar to PH rail, Lagos to Kano rail, upgrade of transmission infrastructure; if the borrowed funds can actually be used to complete these ones alone, then the loan is definitely worth it. I dont know about the other things on the list

$500m for NTA though? undecided

And education gets $100m

See why Senator Abaribe wanted a breakdown of how the entire loan would be spent! Can anyone in all honesty say this rubbish is fair to the south-east? Besides a $50 million vocational training centre that touches all regions of the country, and one or two general/national spendings, the south-east gets nothing else! But look at other regions, and see how they compare: in some instances, specific/stand-alone projects worth multi-millions of dollars are targeted for specific states! States like Kaduna, Taraba, Kogi as well as regions like south-west/north-west and south-south (east-west road and railway) were specifically mentioned!

Can neutrals now see why Igbos are fed up with this divisive, vindictive and bigoted Buhari gov't? Let no efulefu Igbo bastard in APC come and tell me Igbos are faring better under this evil regime and we should roll out the drums in celebration!
