Bro, this is beyond Kano indigenes or Northerners problem, Northern Elites hate Sanusi because he's campaigning against child marriage, drug abuse, increasing number of out of school children and the abject poverty in the region. Typical Northerner listen and respect the traditional rulers before anyone else. So these elites sees Sanusi as a threat because if he succeeded educating the Almajiris, there won't be those to use for their political biddings again. Now how we are all affected with the plight of Almajiris up North, politically the Almajiris are the ones deciding the fate of these country every four four years, Kano state population alone would swallow Osun, Oyo, Ondo and Ekiti combined from the Southwest and Enugu, Imo, plus Anambra from the Southeast, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers in the South-south. I have never heard any of his former school mates or even university mates refer to him as militant Muslim. He had a long career in the banking industry, non of his former colleagues or associates had ever referred to Lamido Sanusi as a fundamentalist. So where did you guys get your information than Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was ever a militant Muslim? Give me reference or proof.
