A cursory glance through a list of miners and rail workers that embark on strikes to the detriment of wider society, you find that each association appears only once or a few times. Nigeria's Union of her most educated elite, ASUU even though not on the list, may outspan and frequent strikes than any Union, save the auto manufacturers worker union perhaps and may be the only union of University staff globally that embarks on such action to air their grieviances.
