It came like a toy boy
Very huge and small
What is that? I don't know
Clearly fear and tears turn
Men into masquerades.

So chronic and the heart panic
In shallow black hollow, the
Wave of the Ocean cries in Cyrus
A Vicious virus cracked the egg
And the york snuffles.

The creeping children sneeze in flick
Mummies, and daddies fed babies
With womb tomb spoons.
Then elixir refuse to remove exorcism
What a prison of lifetime!

Locked down! Down and down at
all cities, cries as the flag turn red
Windows locked! Doors banged
The whole busy street turn ghost
Land! Soil then swallow fellow
And the end tale became Sodom
And Gomorrah.

The wall in pains agony and plaque
Romance the gentle soul
Death became the call on duty
Fear stole my confidence
No servitude then is it vendetta?
Hope is lost but the home beyond
The blue sky will restore fate in purity!

Comparing apples and oranges. In America it is winter - flu season. Many many people have the flu which mimics Wuhan almost exactly.

What's testing and having capabilities to test got to do with weather?

You made zero sense, it's not by force to comment.,

Lagos state Isolated the Italian gentleman, tested and obtained results in less than 4 hours, while in the US, the so called most powerful country in the world is still struggling to formulate a decent and coherent strategy, they can not adequately test and they don't even have enough test kits to ramp up testing.

Kudos to Lagos state and Nigeria, the Italian gentleman is lucky to sadly fall sick in Nigeria and not in his own country/Italy where over 1000 people perished already and thousands infected.

The Italian gentleman is now virus free and is able to return to his family, but I think he should stay in Nigeria for now.

When Lai Mohammed said we are ready and prepared to deal with this horrible virus, the hateful and bitter anti Nigeria crazies went berserk, they abused and insulted the man, they call him a lair, but luckily for the negative and hateful people, we showed the world once again our preparedness and capabilities.

Luckily for the loudmouths, our preparedness saved them from the horrible virus.

God Bless Nigeria.

You uttered this rubbish even after reading that the man was tested and the result was negative or you mean he infected his passengers with his negative results?

Some of you just love to hear yourself talk, but end up sounding ignorant

You either didn't read the article or did but just did not comprehend what you read.

Abeg stop embarrassing yourself.

There was no reference made about Senegal being more advanced than any country, this is about competence and level of preparedness.

How advanced you are doesn't determine your level of competence and ability to respond to every issue.

Nigeria tested and obtained results in less than 4 hours, Senegal tested and obtained results in less than 4 hours, but in America at the moment, it takes more than 24 hours.

I guess the gist flew over your head.

Btw, that report came from Yahoo news, an American media outlet, not from me so argue with Yahoo news.

[quote author=LibertyRep post=87429568]Nigeria media has done well to protect the identity of the Italian and the other contacts , something the English media cannot do. Now the whole world knows that Arsenal manager has Convid 19. Shior.

Even Premium Times with it's investigative journalism cannot break the impregnable circle.

I'm not saying there is no Italian, I just want to plead with them to ensure that adequate measures be put in place to prevent real and verifiable Convid 19 carrier(s) from getting to Nigeria.
Imagine Corona in the street of the overcrowded Lagos city, e don be for Nigeria be that.

This is how you know people who spread fake news, Oga please list all the patients who have contracted the disease world-wide. The media made a mistake my announcing Patrick Sawyer as the carrier of the Ebola Virus and now that the Media has conformed to the normal standard. People like you can not get past that. please grow up jareeee.

U can’t possibly be this dense. Did Nigeria or Senegal develop their own tests?! Is it not the same approved test kits they are all using?? In US people who want to get tested have to fill out forms then wait, because there are too many people; while in tropical countries like Senegal they beg people to be tested. In US flu kills 40,000 people a year, in Senegal zero. There are reasons to be proud of Nigeria/Africa but response to corona is not one of them. Stop talking nonsense.

It has been SCIENTIFICALLY proven - Wuhan does not survive long in warm humid weather. It has not succeeded in any such country, not just Africa.
See your answer below

CanadaOrBust, I would like to agree with you, on account of your rational approach, but unfortunately the figures are growing worldwide as the days pass, with more countries reporting, and the figures on the map you posted are now outdated. And there are cases in Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Cuba, since you mentioned the Caribbean...though not huge numbers at this point, so at the moment the virus has not taken off in those places. It is not stated whether these are sick tourists, or sick locals. Maybe we can say that the tropical climate mitigates, though perhaps not eliminates, the spread of the virus?

Poor and weak nations also do not have the infrastructure to detect as many people with the disease as others. Before you start calling grace of God reason the thing first.

I understand your logic; but exactly what is wrong with calling the grace of God? I'm just being positive that's all.

So, while people are getting sick and dying, the most important thing to worry about is who developed testing and not how prepared and how fast you are able to test and save lives?

And the rest of your post is a continuation of your ignorant and illogical rubbish.

U don’t realise how illogical YOU sound. It is like US patting themselves on the back for not having malaria.
Nigeria has done NOTHING special to mitigate Corona. They have infact done less than US who instituted bans and automatic quarantines back in February, something 9ja has not done todate!

Nigeria reported CV cases, promptly tested and treated the infected, but the US couldn't test because they refused to accept test kits offered by WHO, and couldn't make their own on time to test and prevent infections and deaths.

They've recorded over 50 deaths, many cities still don't have test kits, their manufactures can not ramp up to produce the kits but, they did performed excellently than Nigeria because they instituted travel ban that they just instituted days ago after realizing how unprepared they were and after widespread infections and deaths..

Something is seriously wrong with you, I even think I'm going back and forth with a comedian.

Virus testing is a ‘failing,’ leaving cases uncounted

Seven weeks have passed since the first U.S. case of coronavirus was announced, and the government is failing to account for what could be thousands of additional infections because of ongoing problems with testing.

“The system is not really geared to what we need right now,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top infectious disease expert at the National Institutes of Health. “That is a failing. It is a failing, let’s admit it.”

The effort initially was hobbled by delays in getting testing kits out to public health labs, but the stumbles have continued, leading scientists to conclude that the virus has taken root in more places than government officials say.

South Korea, a country one-sixth the size of the U.S. in population, is reportedly testing 15,000 people per day. CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield noted that officials there are using automated, high-volume testing systems capable of processing thousands of samples at a time. In contrast, the equipment used by most U.S. state and local labs requires technicians to manually process each sample in small batches, sometimes 100 or fewer per day.

CDC’s coronavirus testing failure is a national outrage

The Centers for Disease Control’s stunning failure to provide the coronavirus testing kits needed to control the spread of the outbreak is a national outrage.

The incompetence threatens Americans’ health and the nation’s economy. It’s imperative that the CDC make mass production of test kits its top priority. The CDC must also give clear direction on how we can best deal with this national emergency.

Bay Area officials, including San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, have been begging for additional testing kits for weeks. Their fear is that the delays may result in it being too late to contain the looming health disaster.

South Korea is testing 20,000 people every day, thanks to a biotech firm that anticipated the threat in January. South Korea is providing free tests for anyone a doctor deems necessary at more than 100 facilities across the nation. The result is that South Korea is now seeing more recoveries than new cases.

Once upon a time, the United States was the global leader in fighting infectious diseases and serving as the provider for testing kits to the world. Those days are long gone. The CDC must act to make up for its incompetence and take whatever steps necessary to protect Americans against current and future outbreaks.

https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/03/14/editorial-testing/

Americans totally agreed that their government failed them, but some ignorant kolomentality people in Nigeria are cheer-leading for America that it's the other way around as if they know more than Americans and what they are going through all because they hate their own country so much as if their own country must always be beneath other countries no matter how good they perform.

It's really sickening.
