grafikii: To keep quiet and die in silence I guess! When it is obvious he stated the facts? Can't we stop flight from these highly affected zones at least for a while? When it's obvious even if the passengers undergo the screenings 10times the result is not as reliable as another screening being done once elsewhere. 2 Likes |

Kimzo:Where in the report does it say only Nigerians living in those countries are allowed. Because when Trump banned Europeans he specified that American citizens are exempted and he banned 28 European countries citizens. Your leaders are sellouts that is why they cannot ban their oyinbo masters, kiss the truth. If this virus started from Africa they would have banned you from day one. 3 Likes |

Just close the borders. Global International trade has collapsed, global tourism collapsed. What are people still doing roaming across borders threatening other countries. The Nigerian authorities are grossly underestimating the speed of this pandemic and virility of its spread. If it hits home there will be no way to control it. It will overwhelm this country in weeks. 1 Like |

I think the best bet is to shut the doors for now. If it is true that the virus doesn't show signs immediately, then I'm afraid that simply screening them at the airport won't help us. People should stay in their country of residence for now and stop moving around. Nigeria should ban incoming and outgoing for now. Please... 2 Likes |

EU, us was a bit careless, they wanted to be politically correct as against the primary wellbeing of their citizens. They are now learning the had way by doing the needful, some of the countries are in total shutdown to contain this outbreak from Wuhan. Billions of dollars budgeted to salvage the situation , on the other hand Nigeria won't take drastic measures to provent an outbreak. Imagine when covid19 goes into regions where people are less enlightened, it will be catastrophic. Federal government at this point need to shut down borders to citizens from virus infested countries at least to reduce the likelihood of spread. Nigeria budgeted about 650million naira which is a bit less than 2million dollars, do we have the economic might to take care of the community spread of covid19? At this point the answer seems no, we should do the needful and protect Nigerians. 2 Likes |
