Generally Nigerians can lie about their parent's age....

Maybe they do it gain sympathy and applause for a life long-lived... It makes no meaning to me

I've seen live cases where a man not up to 50yrs will boldly say his dad married early and died at 110 years (not months oh)... People can be funny Sha, like who are you doing. It does not change a fact to me.

As for Gov. Yahaya B. He's not up to 50yrs and the woman there never saw any century (100yrs) in her lifetime... It's pure lie

That could be correct. My grandmother was born in 1915 which is 105 year ago. But guess what my cousin, son to my father's younger brother is claiming his father to be about 100 years old.

Legally it's difficult to accuse some one of falsifying his age without evidence, The key evidence used to know a person's true age is Usually his or her WAEC certificate, Primary school Certificate.

Now let's talk biology.
In the past when we didn't eat too much fatty food and children walked long distances to farm, rivers and did hard work, girls' body fat wasn't high enough to make enough oestrogens untill about age 15 to 17.
That meant their first period (menarche) didn't start untill that age range above.

Girls have a fixed number of eggs from birth. These eggs begin to be released when period starts. So all things being equal, the later your period starts, the longer or later you will reach menopause. Of course genetic and other factors may play a role too.

Nowadays, girls can start period at age 9 to 12. And still reach menopause from 40 plus to 50 plus. Remember in those days most women stopped having kids only when menopause started.

Biologically it's possible. Though it does not prove that either the son or the late mother are actually their age.
