Every death is on the conscience of our leaders, most especially Buhari and the people that casted their votes for this government based on tribal affiliation and/or worse, bragging right, disregarding telling signs that Buhari has grown archaic and disconnected with modernity.
YOU YES YOU, YOU WILL GIVE ACCOUNT TO POSTERITY AND GOD.
1. We are taking people from global hotspots.
2. We are not placing returness from global hotspots—Oh My God— on quarantine, obviously. See the Atiku case and the late Achimugu case.
3. We didn't close ALL our entry points a month ago.
4. We didn't learn valuable lessons and take valuable cues from our first case, an Italian who had come back from a hotspot (Italy).
5. We had a spectator period and learnt nothing from it. We were fortunate enough to watch as the virus took a definite pattern and marked out global redzones. Alas, we still took people (WITHOUT QUARANTINE) from these zones—and got it. We had a chance very few countries had.
6. We had about two weeks to learn these lessons. We recorded and dealt with a single case for long. That was our grace period.

The aforementioned, severally and jointly, are the horrible crimes we have committed.

P.S.: America is setting up a Trillion-dollar bulwark. Spain has setup a $200bn intervention. Another country is doing one to the tune of $600bn. The global scene is awash with economic and social interventions.

If we balanced what we 'gained'—aside an escalating Covid-19 situation—from leaving our doors open, with the cost we will now bear for making such a decision, what would we have? Prudent and sound judgement, or crass and profligate foolishness?
Our annual budget is just about $40bn, for perspective.
