History was made today as the United Stockfish Dealers Association of Anambra State (USDAAS) which is the organization that comprises all those who deal on Stockfish business in Anambra state inaugurated series of activities aimed at curbing the recent outbreak of the convid-19. The chairman of the organization; Mr Celestine Ezewuru(JP) at exactly 8:30am kick started the exercise. The new measures introduced imply that all entrants into the market henceforth will undergo compulsory hand washing and application of hand sanitizers. That will be followed with the scanning with infra-red thermometers in order to detect anyone with possible abnormal high temperature.

Furthermore in order to make the exercise a huge success, many hand washing spots like water sinks were constructed at the entrance of the market. The sinks were connected to steady water supply water tanks. Also the union employed the services of nurses and other medical workers to help in this exercise. Security men were also trained and equipped very well in order to monitor and enforce order during this exercise. With this the Stockfish international market has become the first market in Nigeria to adopt such measure in combating this deadly virus. The Chairman of the market while giving a speech before the commencement of the program maintained that the new method is geared towards promoting personal hygiene of members and visitors to the market. He also said that it became expedient that the market place is made a safe place for people to conduct their normal business activities especially during this outbreak of the convid-19. As the time of writing this report the exercise is still in progress and moving smoothly. It will continue every day until this outbreak is contained
