Returning travelers every time ? Why can’t they close the airspace once and for all? The present administration is very proud, arrogant, unfit, clueless and idiotic to say the least..

I am sure that you must have counted all members of your immediate and extended family to have arrived at this confirmed figure.

6+3+1 = 10

where did the other 4 come from now? (I know it must be 14....but the extra 4, hope its not those that had contact. Cos it seems they have been trying to make us think all cases na TRAVELLERS rather than local contactees)

The keyword government uses is "Confirmed Cases", it does not mean that they do not know that there will most likely be more cases that are yet to be confirmed.

Don't mind them!!

With the rate at which covid 19 is going in Nigeria, I think if care is not taken, we will find ourselves in a mess. Despite government lip service directive, some inhabitants of Bwari Area Council in the FCT went about their business as if they don't listen to news or are not aware of the pandemic.

Bwari market was filled to the brim today, market men and women were selling their wares and people are not using any protective gear except a few people who used face mask and hand gloves. No sanitizer anywhere in the market and people are coughing and sneezing arbitrarily.

I said to myself " are these people not aware of the happenstances in the country". My reason is that if these people continue to be non challant and the epidemic finds its way into Bwari market in the FCT, it will be worst than Lombardy in Italy.

I therefore call on the chairman of Bwari area council and other stakeholders in the vicinity to enlighten the populace on the need to be proactive in the face of this looming pandemic.

Gradually, we getting there.

Lock down the country, some people said one is not considering the plight of hustlers.

Something must kill a man. That's a constant

We copied mistakes several countries made and we expected a different result. Countries that succeeded and those winning the war was through a total shut down.

America and Europe failed in this aspect and they paid the price heavily which has now made them opt for a complete shut down.

I started here almost 2 weeks ago that if Nigeria does not record a pandemic from this virus, I will publicly praise the President.

And i really wanted to be wrong about Buhari capacity for once ay least in this corona case.

But alas, Buhari is the WORST leader in the histroy of the country. In fact, he is the worst leader i have ever seen. It is mind blowing.

How could you not close the borders or very strictly monitor entrance after the 1st index case. How is it possible that in the last 2 months, you have not found it necessary to address a fearful nation, something that State Govts like Sanwo Olu are trying to do.

Why is our President so completely ABSENT.

Who is assuring us? Who is leading

That is the price of people pay for gullibility, stvpidity, and irresponsibility.
Well, my consolation is that the virus first attacked Aso rock and they will pay for their rascality.
Nigeria's case could be worse than ever and the worst thing is that WE ARE ON OUR OWN! The West that always come to our rescue in times like this are now fighting their own battle and thus have no time for us.

It's about to go down completely.

Today's date is mar.26. 20 government is trying their best for the citizens to make sure they are safe. God is also telling us to stay inside until the danger is over Isaiah 26:20. Be warned and do not disobey the authority of Govt. And God

..Isaiah 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

This is just the number of cases recorded by NCDC.. The actual cases is way more than this...

Buhari should go get tested for the second time, because there's no way your Chief of staff would get tested positive for the virus and you tested negative, or are they trying to feign everything for us

God will help us...

Stop peddling false information.

If 20, 000 is infected, an average of 1000 should be dead as of date.

So where are you getting false info from.

While we need to test more people - I don’t think the spread is going to be that wild. COVID/19 is not yet a “community disease” in Nigeria but an imported one - only those with recent travel history and their close contacts are likely to have them. Testings have been largely limited to Nigerians who travelled abroad and those who had close contacts with them as well. That is why, I think, the ratio between testings and confirmed cases is kind of high - because Nigeria is testing people from high risk countries who have shown the symptoms. There is a higher probability that these people will have the disease - when compared to the average Nigeria with no recent travel history or contact.

For instance, if Nigeria decides to enter ALABA in Lagos State now and decides to test everyone there, I doubt if 1% will test positive since it’s not a community disease like LASSA Fever, Hepatitis, Malaria etc.

So the fact that Nigeria has tested less people does not automatically mean it has affected millions of people. It is not a community disease known to Nigeria.
