abnot: Wonderful! And she did not make it news then? 90% of ppl that return from abroad to 'build ' Naija end up regretting their decisions. I feel pity for her. Chai! Degenerated to selling her kids cloths to fly back? While senators are sharing money and cars steady? She should not have kept shut. Tweet it! Use social media , use influencers! If the whole Naija is gagged, use foreign ones, copy WHO, world bank, Amnesty intl, just make noise! 2 Likes 1 Share |

When you've refused to employ adequate health workers in such agencies, appointing only who-know-who. There has never been adequate staff in any of the government-owned health institutions. No be only from retirement! Nigerians will learn a bitter lesson from their decisions of choosing inept leaders due to tribal/religious sentiments! |

We don't need any wisdom to tell us that we have a dummy President. After u watch President Trump and Kenya President... U will know why the economy has been nosediving earlier. The unelected President in the person of Abba kyari is sick...expect more politicking. |

ogbuefi677: Yes you are right but calling youths together to start training will take a long process cos there will be screening upon screening which will take time and will also mean gathering large crowd together. That alone is not safe at all. Calling retired health workers back is the best solution because they have the experience and knowledge of the process. |

yommen:During school days, while other study, the health workers train.Thats why after a year or 2 of basic sciences, everybody will proceed to the teaching hospital where you start acquiring real life experience. Next time you come across a doctor, ask him/her where he/she studied. He she will answer you thus "I trained in UNN or Ife or UCH etc. After graduation as a doctor, nobody does any other training for you.Its straight to d job, albeit under supervision in d 1st one year. If you visit d specialist outpatient department of any tertiary hospital,on paper, you are attended to by d consultant in charge but in real life you are attended to by his residents or even house officers. The consultant merely goes over what his juniors have done and then makes appropriate adjustments in the management plan. Caring for patients in a pandemic situation is very rigorous, is it the retired old men and women whose joints have been finished by arthritis that will be most appropriate? 1 Like 1 Share |

Very wrong move! Those retirees are aged people who are more prone to death from the virus! Give out incentives to attract volunteers from the pool of unemployed graduates in the country! I hope we'll learn some lessons from this scourge! Politicians should stop playing politics with issues of health! Stop employing health workers based on political connections but on merit! |

Sunofgod:But you guys should ask yourselves some questions na, how are they returning for Buhari? Have you guys been following the news about the virus in other countries at all? Do you think the virus will only start and end with politicians? Or is the version of the virus in Nigeria different from the ones in other countries? Do you want to wait for a few weeks before you will actually know what this virus is all about? Forget about Buhari, forget about all the evil politicians for now, if the virus decides to deal with us like in other countries, the elites will be treated better than we the masses. Focus on the containment and do not despise whatever measures taken to stop the spread. If the virus were for the elites alone we would have known from other countries because that's how it started in almost all other countries. Poor man no de travel abroad. Bros I hope Nigeria's case no follow like other countries, I see crowds wishing the disease should spread to all the politicians, I don't know why I hardly go with the crowd, kai I de think well well whenever any topic goes viral in this country o, make we know wetin we de wish for ooo. |
