He told Daily Trust after his release that, “I was picked up in the presence of my colleagues around Area I0 by three men dressed in suits in an unmarked Toyota Corolla 2008 model. They drove me around for some hours asking me questions on the association’s stand and on the press conference we wanted to have today (yesterday). I told them to introduce themselves, they refused and I said I have been invited before by the SSS and that I don’t know them.

“They even attempted to take my mobile phone, but I resisted. Although they did not rough-handle me, the arrest was enough intimidation, they drove me around before they dropped me off around Zone 4.

Some miscreants also invaded the venue we booked for the press conference, but thank God nobody among our team took them up before the hotel management asked all of us to leave,” Galadanchi said.

In a copy of the press conference obtained by Daily Trust, he said, “NANS is highly disappointed in the unpatriotic endorsement of President Jonathan to run for the 2011 general election with the name of our noble association. We condemned in strong terms this purported endorsement and hereby dissociate ourselves from this irresponsible act.”
