[quote author=Infomizer post=87926612] I concur abeg. We need full disclosure.[/quote These drugs are common medications like paracetamol to reduce fever and pain, anti emetics to improve vomiting, ORS and if needed antidiarhoeal agents to reduce diarrhoea and prevent dehydration, IV fluid if moderate or severe dehydration becomes apparent or patient can't tolerate orally, multivitamins to boost the immune response, antihistamine to subside catarrhal symptoms and cough, antibiotics if viral pnuemonia develops to prevent secondary bacterial colonization etc. It's all symptomatic treatment that's why it's termed supportive management while hoping the body mounts a robust immune response to kill or inactivate the virus and improves general well being. The cure and vaccine are yet to be established because COVID-19 is the newest strain of the corona virus family and its viral properties are still under study. Hence, the cure might not be established in this current pandemic including its vaccine but in due course these would likely be sorted. It's a process. For more information visit the WHO or NCDC page 1 Like |

GOFRONT:That is viral disease for you. Your body immune system can clear it within days if its stronger then the virus, but if weaker no way. That is why he said, stop smoking. The lungs is it point of entrance, if the lungs are strong, the virus will go. Smokers have weaker lungs. 1 Like |

GraGra247:Those that need to know are in the know. If it is common knowledge then those drugs will disappear from shelves just like tissue, eggs, bread and milk. Those drugs are POM but i wouldn't put it pass people who would break into pharmacies to raid off the drugs from the Shelves and sell them online. |

GraGra247:What is treated is the various symptoms presented by the patient (it could be headache, diarrhea, Pneumonia etc.) Different people will have different symptoms so what works for one may not be effective for the other. 1 Like |

GOFRONT: One's immune system fights it off, presumably...just like other viruses, like the common cold. No cure or vaccine for that, either, but the body takes care of it. But one needs to have a functioning immune system. |

alsudaes1: It's very simple. The drug is definitely not a curative one and was probably used to manage the symptoms. Tell Nigerians the name of the drug and watch them storm pharmacies in search of the drugs even without testing positive. It's definitely going to be taken on preventive bases. They'll overdo it and kill themselves in the process. You and I are both Nigerians and we ought to know ourselves. I support the dude 100% |

GraGra247: Go and find out the drugs she took. Then take it and kill yr self. Ignorance. U saw how people died from chloroquine abuse.. Now u are saying those who recovered should be announcing the drugs they took. I don't think u are sound. |

GraGra247:No i did not insinuate that, these drugs are prescription only medicines which means innocent souls should not have access to them unless prescribed. We should just stay calm, abide with the social distancing, wash your hands stuff. The whole world is in dire straits, we need a lot of positivity and compliance. |

That's why guys need to live healthy. Avoid smoking and too much drink. Sleep well and eat good food with fruits and vegetables. May God provide the means for us cos we gat no government. I thank God almighty for your recovery, I will not blame you for not mentioning the name of drugs that you used, on the ground that only God heals, all human efforts God is saying to it, he is almighty, the alpha and omega. Doctors all over the world are doing error and trial non gas been able to prove the actual cure as different patients recovers mysteriously as they all got the virus mysteriously. God have mercy on us, and heal the land. Mynd44: |

I talked and talked till I almost shout myself hoax but people be like, forget nothing will happen. God help us, Nigerian can't handle this without God oo |
