That projection is envisaging economic situation in THIRTY years' time. They are more like deductions based on current indices. They may eventually happen, just as they may not.

I wish it will come to pass. I really wish Nigeria will learn from the present gloom in the international oil market and shift from relying on monolithic economy.

This people don come again. What happened to all the 2020 projections?... Well newsflash! This is 2020, and we're still sh*t. And corona is dealing merciless blows to our already fragile economy. This is how they would keep on projecting until Christ comes. I'm sure he too would've probably had enough by thengrin

Very possible if all those who ruled Nigeria between 1960 and now are dead and their seeds never taste power.

God bless His Excellence President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR)

Giant strides has been accomplished. His administration has been able to steer Nigeria on the right course which was tasking and demanding.

In as much as what still needs to be done is much more than what has been accomplished, the fact that we now can see a light at the end of the tunnel is our present consolation.

Despite the hate and negative criticisms, His leadership has continuously proven to be undeterred in the quest for a better Nigeria.

Today might never appreciate the structures, culture and discipline you instilled, but it's certain than the future will always celebrate it and history will never forget.
Your president cannot even say the same thing
Your economy crumbling day by day under your president he's leading Nigeria to another economy recession very soon. How is it Buhari effort. Let's just pray that this hypothesis happen

Com'on, be optimistic and patriotic for once. You guys always clamour for and tend to believe facts cast at you from certain western media (especially when it degrade your country) but when it seems the media reel out good news about the forwardness of the economy and/or good policies, you still find an excuse to batter the government. Can't you guys be happy something is going right for once; even if it's a pretext. SMH!

This goal post would still be shifted again and again to be actualised with the current craps running the affairs of the government and the kind of gullible supporters it has..

These neocolonial capitalists have come with their nonsense again grin.

When they see that a Nigerian President is close to actualising it, they will insitigate the South West and North to install an illiterate to destroy and destabilise. What did they do to Nigeria when Nigeria was on CNN Money's top 5 fastest growing economy in the world? Instigate and regime-change an illiterate into power.

Believe them at your peril.

E pain you abi? Nay sayers like you are the problem of Nigeria. Economic growth is never dependent on any govt but thr enterprising spirit of it's citizens.
Buhari is laying the foundation bu building rail systems, roads and bridges. It's really up to the citizens to come up with inventions and enterprising ideas that will grow the economy.
Stop being negative all the time, it's not even good for your physical and mental health.

His 18 month misrule in 80s took Nigeria almost 30 years to almost recover from and now imagine how long it will now take Nigeria to recover from 8 years misrule ? My guess nothing less than another 30 years that's if NIGERIA doesn't break up and depending on who Buhari hands over to , if Buhari hands over to his choice then add an extra 20 years because that choice will certainly be a dull and visionless like the Dullard , if he hands over to a smart dude like Osinbanjo the post Buhari recovery might be faster but we all know the Dullard will never handover to Osinbanjo except God almighty intervenes

But some people will be sad about this projection, anything to cripple Nigeria is what make them happy.
Anyone who takes BBC serious is wasting his time. Without critical infrastructures, development will only remain a dream. This Nigeria even next 50yrs can never have steady power supply. How then can they have industries and join even the first 30 economies of the world? BBC are only massaging ego to aid the continue milking of the contraption. Aljazeera give more news on the happenings in the contraption than them and I'll believe them any day over BBC. BBC... British Bi-partisan Corporation.
