Let's finish this primary school debate please. With the situation of coronavirus asking teachers to sit home and doctors working, please who do you think is most important?

Someone on said, teachers can stay home to save their life's, while doctors can go and die because the teachers would train other doctors, but if teacher die, no one would train new doctors

Who teaches and train doctors? Teachers. A doctor may save life because it is pressing however such doctor need the training from teachers to accomplish that. Hence no teacher no doctor ( mind you lecturers are teachers too)

The day you realise that only doctors can train doctors you'll realise that this argument is invalid.
But if you mean teachers ranging from elementary school to pre-clinicals then that's a valid tough argument

Teaching is the mother of all professions. There would be no doctor without a teacher. It's a no-brainer that teachers are the foundation of society, making their role incomparable...greater.

Doctor is more important because without teachers we won't have a doctor. WRONG!

The truth is a DOCTOR will always be important and indispensable part of the society otherwise the society will seize to exist! - Malaria is capable of wiping out a whole society without the help of a doctor.

The other question is; can we have a doctor without a teacher? YES!

Unless we don't language then being a doctor is impossible but since we have language, A doctor can learn by himself as he goes via experience of what worked the last time and what won't work. Everyone has an inherent tendency to learn from close observation or modelling so as an intending doctor.

To convince you and not to confuse you - A doctor will always advice you NEVER to self medicate because their are consequences - But a teacher will always encourage you to study and learn on your own to better yourself which means we can also do without their expertise.

So you see, A doctor is indispensable and more important than a teacher.

A doctor is more important. Everyone can be self-taught with the right educational materials (textbooks etc.) thereby learning on their own what a teacher could teach them. However, not everyone has the passion or what it takes to be a doctor. Most doctors, if not all, can also teach.

Its a situation of the chicken and the egg. Who laid the egg and where did the chicken come from? Lets go bak to origin. God is both a teacher and a life giver ( doctor ) in thi context. U need life before u teach; u can not be a doctor unless u are taught. They are mutually important.
