Both of you are hated by the north.

I used the Igbos and the Yorubas to represent the entire south and I use tge north to represent Hausa/Fulani

The Yorubas may have a good reason to think that they are in the good books of the north. This thinking stems from their good representation in the present regime of PMB.

However, a deeper looking into the actions and surreptitious activities of the northern cabal shows clearly that the south and to a larger extent the middle belt are hated by this present government.

I read a thread posted in the politics section of this forum entitled: Are we still one Nigeria?

The writer revealed a government program that started as far back as 2017 where northerners are paid #5000 monthly from our commonwealth, to the exclusion of southerners and middle belt indigenes.

To think that southerners contribute over 80% into the national treasury and are excluded from a national program shows that the regime of PMB is purely for the north.

When will Yorubas understand that igbos are not their problem? When will igbos understand that Yorubas are not their problem?

The enmity between these southern brothers was planted and nurtured by the north. Why the south has allowed this hatred to blossom beats my imaginations.

We have highly educated men and women in the south, yet we can see the divide and rule tactics employed by this regime to subjugate the south.

All over the internet today, some people are begging their northern masters to take them back and forgive them for voting a southerner in 2015.

We Yorubas have dealt with Fulani, Hausas and Nupe (Muslim north) before the advent of Nigeria and we already understand how to deal with them.

Meanwhile some people are still learning.

You really don't get it ...we are saying to yorubas obey zoning or we show u that not only you can be crazy enough to vote north it's simple

Igbos would never stand by n watch north mess up a Yoruba man , reason we took obasanjo as our own ...even if we didn't want to we were vocal on sowore it's our nature

Igbo would never support a Yoruba man in 2023 not out of hate or envy but simply because it's not right an d it's unjust ....even if it was south south turn or middle belt turn we would still do the same thing

Igbos really don't care about political position reason we can let it out untill yorubas learn

Abacha 1 million match was organized by who

Who voted Sehu Shagari ahead of Awolowo and Zik

Who voted Tofa ahead of Abiola.

Even Alex Ekuweme contested against Obj in PDP primaries and lost because the Northern PDP members voted Obj ahead of Alex.

It's not hatred, it's returning back to status quo.

Igbos can do whatever pleases them, but I hope you won't still blame Yorubas in the near future.

You are a noisemaker. You could not even take to digest the thrust of this post and unsteady boasting. If Yoruba s have truly dealt with Muslim North ( Fulani, Hausa and Nupe), you should be controlling Nigeria today and not playing second fiddle.

Is it lady's 1 million March that annulled June 12 Election or sent Abiola to prison?

Ndigbo voted for Zik and not Shagari. Get your information right

Abiola said he can do without igbos ...we showed him

You expected us to vote awolowo after his role in the civil war ? Why do yorubas think they can hurt someone and the person would just forget ...same way u are expecting south south to help make u president after Jonathan

Abiola got over 40% vote from the east even tho tofa had an Igbo vice still turned back to say he can do without igbos

Obj was just the first time zoning was introduced all man fourth for it , even Igbo leaders told Alex to step down and didn't vote for him that's why u hear igbos betrayed Alex
After the primary we gave OBJ full support and had a pleasant relationship with him till today

Everything igbos have done to yorubas from day one was payback ....like we are going to do in 2023

if you read my post carefully, you would realize I never said Fulani are not dominant in the political arena of Nigeria. I simply said Yorubas have often gotten better deals than the rest because we have understand how to deal with them for centuries before Nigeria was formed.

Till today, we have not lost 3 million people before

We have the commercial capital of Nigeria

We have a president and currently a vice president

Two speakers of rep. etc.

Surely, you should know judging by the actions of an average northerner which Buhari represents that they wouldn't have ordinarily given those things up without strict negotiations and partial blackmail.

The simple truth is only equity and justice can unite the south ...but yorubas want to be the Lord's of the south ....

All igbos are saying is simple , let's as south maintain the zoning formulae , that's the only way any of us stand a chance against north ,
Today it's igbo turn buh just because yorubas think they can get northern votes they want to put an end to zoning ,it's crazy but we igbos just they watch by the side

@ emboldened

Yet, you voted a Fulani man whose tribe have been dancing on the graves of your people till date just a few years after the civil war. You even voted him against your own Zik

@ red

Please show us the igbo leaders with reference that told Alex not to contest against Obj

Yes, you gave OBJ full support after the primarys because the alternative was another Yoruba man that actually had the support of most Yoruba people. The alternative was Olu Falaye. Hence, you decided to team up with the North to vote Obasanjo against Yoruba wishes.

Guess what? he paid you back by appointing your sons and daughters into his cabinet but you are still the ones shouting marginalization today.

Politics is rub my back I rub yours..

For you lots shouting Igbo presidency up and down, It's only GEJ that you voted massively in 2015 and his Bayelsa people that will vote your candidate. Not a single Northerner will vote for you.

The core North will vote a Yoruba Southerner because the Yorubas voted for their own in 2015 though liberally but it was something. Igbos should not expect to reap where they did not sow. It's as simple as that.

We got nothing. Yet, your people are ready to sacrifice 90% of their votes to get half of what we have now, just like they did in 2019.

Don't forget Buhari only got 55% of Yoruba votes in 2019 and we were given a Vice presidential slot and a speaker slot for our troubles.

We will keep reminding you that we are more political savvy than you and better positioned to deal with the North than you would ever be.

Really! So Fulani are innocent.

So people like Namdi Kanu that blame the entire Fulani people for the war that ruined your reputation in Nigeria forever today are talking out of place?

Really, Fulani are strangers to you,

>Yet, Zik preferred to play second fiddle to them in the first republic,

>Ekweme licked their balls in the second republic,

>You guys matched for Abacha in vain

>Yet, in the spirit of second fiddle, you guys are getting ready to slave for them in two years time with the hope of playing second fiddle after nearly twenty years of holding on to a party you formed together with them.

Furthermore, You said North doesn't trust Yorubas but Kano state have voted a Yoruba twice in its history, not even Godluck Jonathan from the oil rich Nigerdelra can manage a victory there in 2011. And to top it up, Abiola won Kano against a Hausa /Fulani man.

You really need to stop shooting yourself in the foot.

Why do you even care about presidency of Nigeria? Shouldn't you be more concerned about development in the East..

One other determining factor is the level of development and contribution of regions. Compare and contrast..

SW - most developed region and contributes above 65% of total revenue generated

SE - Least developed region (even NE with insurgency is more developed, imagine) and contributes less than 10% of total revenue generated.

Seriously, you guys shouldn't even make sound when Yorubas are talking, we contribute the lions share and will definitely get the larger share.

Igbos contribute nothing , we have hear ,help us push for regional government na so we won't steal your 65%

The SS is not as greedy you SW and are ready to support their cousins in the SE, you people are desperate to avoid facing the North in PDP because you want to use propaganda to defeat another southerner and hijack the presidency. No, it will not work.

If yoruba will not respect zoning and step down for equity and allow both tickets to be zoned to the SE who have never tasted presidency since democracy returned, they'll have to face the north.

When you are stopped from stealing the presidency, we can start the zoning counting again all over, since you lots are averse to justice and equity. No sentiments here.
