Well like I wrote above, those against this splendid move by the chinese company to come in and help are enemies of the state.
Personally I believe that the NMA(Nigerian medical association) and NARD(national association of resident doctors) didn't have all the subtle details of the Chinese arrival hence their initial position, however with the statements and clarifications put out by the FG, I do not think any sensible person that has the interest of the state at heart and keeps that above personal interest will object that move . If persons still hold back grievance and are not happy with the arrival of those Chinese personnels, then I must say they are enemies of the state, and should be treated as such.
Moreso we as Africans should learn to set aside egotism and egocentrism and put the interest of our countrymen in the fore front, that's what sensible people do, and this inimical display of egotism is part of the very core problems militating against our progress as a people.


Furthermore, in this post I'll try to enlighten and educate people more, cause I do strongly believe there is crass ignorance out there.

Facts:
1) The personnels coming are not just doctors, but also inclusive of biotechnology engineers and nurse, public health advisors etc.

2) the move is being sponsored by the CCECC a chinese construction company, which is a subsidiary of the china railway construction company as part of their corporate social responsibility, in corporation with the FG (not the FG inviting or sponsoring them from China to come here)

3) they are coming with over 250 types of medical equipments, inclusive PPE, mask, test kits, ventilators..

4)their role is not to treat patients, but rather to help with installation of those equipments and also to train manpower in their usage. They are also present to give advisory role (if needed) and to share experiences they had in battling the virus on their own front.

5) They are not licenced to treat patients in Nigeria, and so will not be partaking in the frontline of patients management in the country.

This are the facts, not hearsays, or make believe.

With all these put forward, those misinformation debunked by my post, and the topical matter succinctly
and lucidly elucidated, I do not think or believe anybody in their right senses will push against this move unless they are enemies of this state.

Statement by CCECC on the its medical equipment donations to Nigeria and the accompanying medical team

PRESS RELEASE

With the backing of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and People’s Republic of China, China Railway Construction Corporation (‘CRCC’), through its subsidiary China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (‘CCECC’), is supporting Nigeria in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic that is adversely affecting livelihoods and economies across the world by making available necessary medical equipment and health consumables.

Assisted by the Nigerian Government, CCECC is delivering amongst others around 16-tons of test kits, ventilators, disinfection machine, disposable medical masks, N95 masks, medicines, rubber gloves, protective gowns, goggles, face shields, infra-red thermometers and other critical care items, through a chartered flight operated by Air Peace.

The chartered flight is due to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on 8 April 2020, these items required by the Nigerian Government will be handed over by CCECC to relevant authorities.

Considering its large number of employees in Nigeria, CCECC at its own cost, will dispatch a 15-member working team from CRCC, 12 of whom are experienced medical professionals with expertise in infectious disease, respiratory illness, intensive care, cardiology, neurology, general surgery and anesthesiology. Members of the team also have relevant experience in the prevention and diagnosis of the COVID-19.

All members of the working team have tested negative to COVID-19 and shall commence their stay in Nigeria by undertaking 14 days in quarantine. The primary purpose of the working team is to escort the medical supply, provide guidance for their usage and distribution.

They will also provide CCECC employees with critical and necessary healthcare assistance where necessary. They are also coming with adequate PPE and medical items for the employees. In addition, under the directive of Chinese Embassy and in response to the Nigeria Government’s request, the working team may also share with Nigerian medical teams effective methods on how to contain the COVID-19 and provide advice on the use of relevant medical equipment. The team is not coming to treat Covid-19 patients in Nigeria.

Finally, in keeping with its corporate value, “Stride with Nigeria”, CCECC is participating in the construction of two COVID-19 response facilities in the FCT for free as part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities. The facilities are a 196-bed at “ThisDay Dome Treatment Centre,” in collaboration with Sahara Group and Arise News; and the 150-bed “Idu Depot Treatment Centre.”

I have sir, and looked into them critically and clinically, all I could come up with, were just people bringing in ego play at the expense of everyother thing, an exercises at massaging bloated ego that has fetched us nothing, I mean absolutely nothing! , most of our consultants and specialist go to these countries to get trained how to handle equipments like this, and get more specialised training. Because of the Pandemic these people are here to offer valuable help at no cost, and we don't want to set aside this silly ego that has fetched us nothing..

That's my take... I'm into medical practise so u know, and I understand better.

Do you think we are stupid? how many deaths have been recorded so far and why are these people not being mobilized in places where they are needed most? after everything, China will take the glory for what we have been handling very well before they came but people like you will never learn the art of independence. The fact is they are not needed here. I repeat, we don't need them, they should all be in Italy, Spain, US and other areas where people are dying like Roaches. There's no justification for their presence in Africa.

If they need to Teach people how to use their equipment, simply send video tutorials.

You are certainly suffering from low self-esteem.

While I do agree on the need for synergy in tackling the virus, it is pertinent to note that without external help and support, our doctors here have been managing and treating covid cases successfully, even better than how they are managed in so called advanced countries.

Do you know the amount of presence China has in Nigeria? Chinese companies and funds in Nigeria is over 10 billion dollars in Nigeria, and u think they won't have interest in such a country? Think sir!

I am not against their coming but for a country which denied the world knowledge of this deadly virus and allowed its citizens travel around the world and infect others?
I'd be so skeptical to deal with them on same issues.
No matter your explanations above, people have the right to ask questions.
Imagine doctors from France arriving here when 2crazy of them had been so wicked to ask that vaccines in trial stages be used here and no single punishment by their govt, I'd be the last to seek their help.
Bros, I don't trust China.
Don't forget they have used loans to drag many African countries down and now almost owning their assets.
