OP, you see as some people carry nonsense for head dey attack you?

Don't let it shock you. That's something about Nigerians. You point out something bad and they all attack you. It's one of the reasons we're still like this.

And apart from that, most of those guys are DSTV agents or affiliated with DSTV. They're very many on nairaland and will do anything to make sure this thread doesn't go far.

Some dumbos are talking about they didn't force you. Are you all dull or something? Those are the only free stations. There's no other option. No be everybody get money for subscription. In some places there are no local TV stations. I was in Akure for a while last year. OSRC wasn't functional, naso so Chinese stations I dey watch. You've got no option.

And it's not about one person. It's about the people watching it without even realizing na pure Chinese propaganda dem dey swallow.

Chris?
Well, you are behaving like your namesake.
You wrote an epistle with no substance.

You didn't tell us why those stations are dangerous.
Not one reason, just an inherent hatred.

Does it have something to do with 5G or religion?

I am not sure 5G can be transmitted via DSTV though.

As a patriot, you should dump DSTV and start watching our own NTA.

He didn't say why the stations are dangerous?

Are you a DSTV agent or something?

God bless you op, with intelligent minds like you there is hope but unfortunately there are lots of idiots roaming around.

Our government or the caricature that fronts as one is indeed a scam. These guys have no pride, no dignity, no passion, no patriotism, no self worth and no ambition. All they live and die for is how to loot, embezzle and scam our Commonwealth. These fools parading as our rulers are a disgrace and are so afraid of annoying the CCP in Beijing.

Even the brave and courageous diplomat that stood up for Nigerians today is on his own because these theives in aso rock would deny him or worse still, privately reprimand him for trying to cause problem with their Chinese masters. These pot-belied fvrktards will pretend as if Nigerians weren't humiliated and dehumanized in China.

They are ready to sell Nigeria to China and use the money to relocate abroad. They don't care about us except to primitively accumulate wealth, including the Chinese loans.

You're talking about DSTV, it is even worse with Startimes. These godless chinks are desperately trying to recolonize Nigeria in particular and Africa in general while our so called leaders are simply their cheerleaders.

If you have just one reason why the stations are dangerous, you can bail him out.

Why are Nigerians like this?

What does this have to do with 5G and religion?

Are you trying to be funny?

I've decided not to reply any funny comments on this thread though. Cuz so many DSTV agents will be out to rubbish this. So it's cool.

But any sensible person who truly cares for this country will be truly concerned about this.

Yes. You are spreading propaganda based on religion or superstitious fears.

You are wondering how I know these?
Because when I see an irrational rant against somebody or something, the reason is always
primitive urge.

You called African's stupid because an Asian TV is paying DSTV to be aired freely.
You lied that almost everyone has a DSTV decoder when the majority are poor struggling to earn a living.
You then buttressed your lie with a 95% non-subscribing rate with no citation.
Do you work for DSTV?

Mr. minority wise African, are we supposed to take your word for it?

I gave you a benefit of the doubt because I entertained the thought that we have a unicorn patriot
here but I saw your previous posts littered with EPL coverage when we have local leagues dying for attention.

We should be happy that those stations are paying DSTV which means more revenue for the government
unlike your favorite ones that are sucking away our little dollars because "patriots" like you want to belong.

You aren't really against free foreign stations but the one from those yellow people you hate.
I suppose if CNN of Fox news were free, you won't open a thread about their propaganda even though
they serve similar purposes.

Prove me wrong and tell us why those stations are dangerous and I will modify my post.

It's not news that Africans can be so stupid most times especially our leaders but I do wonder everytime how some obvious things that will be detrimental to us in the long run are happening right before our eyes and no one is paying attention to it. I used to believe in the Bible a bit and used to read it to know if there was a curse placed on any African country that's affecting us generally till today.

Let me start with this. In Nigeria almost everyone has a DSTV decoder. That's our major source of entertainment on TV. Some states don't have a functional TV station so if you don't have cable TV like DSTV, Startimes and the likes your Television will be practically useless. You'll agree with me that sometimes average Nigerians are not able to pay for subscriptions sometimes so we're faced with watching the free stations. What are these free stations? They are:
-CGTN( Chinese Global Television Network) for Chinese news and discussions.
-CGTN Documentary ( Chinese Global Television Network for documentaries)
-CGTN French( Chinese Global Television Network in French language).
-CNC ( Chinese news stations).

We don't get to watch our Nigerian TV stations like NTA, AIT, Silverbird and the likes but we're stuck with Chinese propaganda stations!! And this has been going on since I can remember. How the hell has this been going on and nothing has been done about it.

Trust me I've watched these stations really well and I can tell you they are filled with nothing but Chinese propaganda.
-They attack the US and the west with their news and interviews. If you watched that station for a month you'll have a distorted view of the world view.
-They portray Africa like a barren land with need of help from China to survive.
- They influence their viewers to view things whichever way the Chinese government wants them to. If they believe today that any African leader is not acting in the interest of China. They portray that leader in such a bad light. They do this in such a subtle way. This is very dangerous.

The most scary thing is that 95% of Nigerians don't subscribe regularly on their DSTV. So at one time or the other they have to watch these stations. This is very dangerous!!!

How is it that in Nigeria you can't watch local TV stations on DSTV for free but can only watch Chinese propaganda stations? How are Nigerians not enraged by this?

There was a time I wanted to get into TV and the following link was my sad experience https://www.nairaland.com/3576350/how-foreigners-control-nigerian-tv

Read the links I provided and you'll see what industry experts have been complaining for years.

Note that if you research the trend you'll realise it goes beyond Nigeria into some other African countries. As of Nigeria, its a dead country. Nigeria is failed state.

We cannot be truly free any where on the African continent, until we stop enslaving ourselves with alien concepts i.e foreign language, foreign education, foreign God. If we ever want to be free we must take control of language, education, religion. This's the only way to stop enslaving ourselves.

NB: All Western media are also propaganda networks pushing their own point of view.

Definitely not going to waste my time explaining things or pointing things out to a Chinese. Of what use will that be?

What an anticapitalistic rant.
What local channels?

If you are advocating for NTA, we will understand.
But I know you hate NTA like other people but you want DSTV to subsidize other
for-profit private stations.

If you love watching NTA, then you don't need DSTV, they are everywhere in Nigeria.
About 4 NTA channels are free on DSTV.People need to differentiate between business and charity.

No they are not. Heard they'll make them free during this covid19 period. So they might be free for now. Don't know. I have my subscription on. The last time these was no subscription, only Chinese stations were working.

You'll be surprised to learn that foreign content is often cheaper than producing local content, or sharing among ourselves in Africa.

A lot of African countries without their own news channels link up to the BBC, CNN, Al-Jazeera, CGTN and RT overnight.

Even Lesotho which is completely surrounded by South Africa cannot afford SABC content, instead they carry CGTN and Al-Jazeera that rarely report on the country.
