I got into it towards the end of 2014...I deliberately decided to try it after giving it a thought..bro after then ,I started masturbating but I was never happy about it..I felt empty, lost confidence, felt far away from God. Then I started praying about it. Around 2016 I was really hell bent about stopping it. So what I did then was :
1 Any day i engaged in it i will note the date to monitor the consistency .
2 I broke down and cried to God . Told him to help me cos I was steadily becoming depressed and I found it difficult getting into relationship or even friendship.
3 I came across one Jehovah's witness hand book ,I think the name was the question young people ask or maybe I can't really recall. But it had some advice about masturbation that helped.
4 I gradually started losing interest in it but still fell into it once in a while especially when I take alcohol.
5 that same 2016. I totally forgot about masturbation, detested it and I'm moving on happily..
I give God all the glory but cos he healed me totally..

Masturbation is a sexual vice and 1cor 6:9-20 bu Apostle Paul explain explicitly about anything that has to do with defiling the temple of God which is your body. When you commit it what does your spirit man find peace also can you be proud to say you indulge this act. If you cannot answer these questions then it is a sin.
I was able to save myself from masturbation with these word "Flesh can starve to death" I pray the Holy Spirit minister those words to you. I'd rather my flesh starve to death than gratify it and lose the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Proverb 4: 23 makes it clear - Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it proceeds the issues of life. What one feeds his heart with constantly whether consciously or unconsciously is what one gradually becomes.
