Op, the bias is deeply rooted in traditional religious beliefs and myths, especially in this part of Nigeria. Often times, people with dada are tagged negatively in likes of mentally challenged person, Yahoo guys, mad person.

These superstitions and beliefs ignite fear and portraited evil in the society which have been deeply entrenched into people's mind and certain religious group renforced the belief among their followers. Only certain people who questioned their culture and belief become emancipated from their culture and religion dogma.

Few hours back I was pondering within me about this same "dreadlocks" well my take is dreadlocks has been hijacked, Samson was a frontliner as regards dreadlocks but that was God ordained however today the Marine kingdom and their subsidiaries (using the name of church) have hijacked dreadlocks.

There are definitely spiritual undertones to people with natural dread but i really don't know much about it. For those saying its always dirty its just another lie. I have a beautiful little nephew who was a natural dread and his mom takes good care of the hair. Washes it and applies the right ointments although she is cele sha a strong one who owns her own church. I remember how i used to stroll with this little kid on the streets in Ibadan back then. Na so fine fine girls dey hustle to just carry am or play with am and me no dey fail to finish work
