Staff of IOCs are quarantined for 14 days before they can go to any offshore location. Not because they have the virus

This is not totally true as i was informed by a friend who is a staff of chevron that the company has just informed those staffs that are out of base and would be resuming during this period that they would be quarantined at a hotel for 14days after which if the person is free of the virus,he would resume work.To me this is in line with the NCDC protocol.

I just want to point out that this lock down is just rubbish. People are still travelling from state to state. I know of someone who returned to Lagos from Ilorin on Sunday, he said their driver bribed the security personnel on the highway so as to pass through.

Corruption is what will end up being our greatest killer in this country.... The police and soldiers has turned this lock down into a money making venture as they charge motorist various amount of money to pass.

This story is fake in every sense of the word fake, haba. Just like earlier posters had earlier said,it's the compulsory 14 day quarantine before resumption in the field. This covid-19 is too serious for this sort of news reporting.

Without even knowing all the facts I can confidently decipher those employees are being kept there for pssibly job related reasons and not anything to do with Covid-19 contraction.
A company as global and big as Chevron would carelessly toy with their name, reputation and even business interest worldwide by putting health of its employees and community at risk,so publicly and cheapishly? Impossible.
SR should just fold up.

I can say categorically that this is another fake news from SR, a friend of mine who works with Chevron confirmed that they are lodged for 14 days in order to observe as per DPR new covid regulation prior to going in to their facility to work.

one small connection will make a citizen above the law.

They are not suspected to have the virus all oil and gas company staff are normally isolated for 14days before the are allowed into their plant. They are not expected to move out until they are cleared.

I equally went to the secondary school where we have timetable for fight and send letters to Don Domingo's for an invitation to fight.

The only good thing there is those oil companies in the community, but still yet, it's still backward.
