The lockdowns so far have been a sham. They are not working. They can't work! I hope you watched Abba Kyari's burial... embarassed

There will be NO new extension after the current one elapses... grin

Which one do you have problem with, lockdown or handling of Abba kyari burial? Because the two development are in no way the same

It depends on which state you are. There may be or not be extension in those areas that already heading for 4 weeks lockdown. You're not the president, you are not the governors. Many factors will be considered by each governor, even the president to make a final decision.
Then, we have some states that just began their own lockdown. You can't rule the extension there too

No we can't. God has the final say. He is the Alpha and Omega.
You are really sounding like an atheist - an alarmist - one with an agenda. You have failed.

Watch Americans protest the lockdown on the streets and study their placards. We are all at alert... smiley

You see what happened when you introduced the God element? Accusation would start, illogical debates would start. If I should react to that, more accusations will follow and objective of the discussion will be lost

Both! I was just trying to prove to you that the lockdowns are a sham and are not solving any problem. Infact, more people have died during the "lockdowns" than before them.

Going by your theory, lockdowns need to continue indefinitely as long as the number of confirmed cases keep increasing abi grin
Did you watch Lagos state commissioner for health on Channels TV earlier today grin
All signs are pointing to an end to the sham lockdown. In fact, Lagos traffic is back... grin

I affirmed that my family and I have already survived the Coronavirus by the grace of God and you said I was merely wishing. That was where you erred.

Okay, let me say we probably have 1,000,000 cases in Lagos at the moment. And for that we have only less than 23 deaths. Are you okay now

Can't you there is absolutely no reason for the sham lockdowns as the LORD has naturally immuned us against the virus and made our land hostile to it

Do you think we have any capacity to stop/contain Coronavirus going by what has been obtaining even during the sham lockdowns so far

African Pastors That Can Raise The Dead - When Will They Start Using Their Powers on Corona Virus victims?
Everywhere you go across Africa, there always seem to be a messiah who is capable of performing some incredible miracles, from curing the blind, healing the sick to raising the dead.
When will these men start using their healing powers on Corona Virus victims?
Why is the lack of standard hospitals across Africa still a problem in the midst of these powerful men?

At the beginning of every year, So many self acclaimed men of God across Africa dish out prophecies.
How come a problem as big as this Corona Virus Pandemic and the global lockdown/shutdown was missing in their prophecies?

Are you shifting goal-post already grin So you telling me we have only about 627 cases after we had locked down too late especially in the area of shutting out returnees Come on, you must be joking.

Indeed, I believe we may already have 1 million cases. Only that we can't do 10million tests to confirm my assertion.

Yet for that huge number, we only have 23 confirmed deaths... cool

I mean, what other evidence do you need to agree that Coronavirus is not for Africa especially Nigeria

Not really. I was talking about what could be our peak figure

You can't place 23 known deaths by the side of assumed 1 million cases and make an argument with that.

Coronavirus is not for Africa especially Nigeria

I would very much like to believe that, just that I'm not yet convinced. Blacks forms the majority of the dead in USA despite being minority

23 deaths is 23 deaths. It doesn't matter what the number of cases is... smiley

Maybe. But I sincerely think the owners of Lagos are tired of the sham. The lockdown will end next week Monday. We must all go back to work... smiley

I would never term it a sham. Though, it might not be 100% effective, it had its positive impact. It restricted the movements to around 80% and that included the unknown sick ones during the period.

We must all go back to work... smiley

As long as it comes with compulsory face masks and social distancing, prohibition of large gathering in churches and mosques and markets and so on. Iranians are back on the streets and are strictly doing that

What of all the cramping and crowding that happened when people were trying to get the so-called "palliatives"

What about the hours (10am to 2pm) the restriction were relaxed so that people can go to the market and get stuffs

Sure. But why can't we gather in church with face masks

Lack of crowd control. We still need to improve in that aspect.

What about the hours (10am to 2pm) the restriction were relaxed so that people can go to the market and get stuffs

People need stuff, that's for sure. The overall positive aspect is that the rate and the level at which people interact has been greatly reduced.

Sure. But why can't we gather in churchS AND MOSQUES AND MARKETS with face masks

Because masks or no masks, large gatherings still pose great risks. Visiting markets is even more essential this period than visiting mosques and churches

The lockdown has failed. People are now out in Lagos. Only companies and corporate organizations are obeying it at this time.

The lockdown should not be extended so that they can resume.

Churches will resume too.

The governors actually agreed on inter-state lockdown. There will be free movement within each state.
I think that's good enough.

And Nigeria's story has always been that of survival of the fittest.

Honestly, Akwa Ibom Government is really not doing enough to contain this virus. Currently there is news circulating everywhere in Aks that the state commissioner of health has so far released six covid19 victims, that there are only three positive cases remaining. This report dated back to 5days now but not reflected in NCDC chart. NCDC still affirmed Aks had 6 positive covid19 cases as at this morning.
God will protect us.
