Why won't Lagos Mainland lead? When Oyingbo markets are always full with people from different places buying and selling goods.. 1 Like |

Community infection have started to manifest. There are some areas in Lagos where the lockdown looks like a child play to them especially on the mainland. No social distancing, no protection whatsoever. Everybody eyes go soon clear. 1 Like |

Now some fools have started blaming the government. They couldn't appreciate the government when it was trying to confine people in their homes now it has gone out of hand and everyone is trying to change the narrations. 6 Likes |

Time to push mass testing around the country. The lockdown is not going to be effective without testing massively. 1 Like |

This just the beginning. No matter what is out there, People will continue to go out and hustle since the government has done nothing to make life a bit comfortable for people during the lockdown. No odinary power supply to keep one engaged with movies or games. If you stay indoors, hunger and boredom will kill you faster and before you know it, you are on your way to beer parlour. 13 Likes |

yusufyo: I blame the FG and NCDC because they have failed to see that confining people without Mass Testing is not working. Same goes to the State Governors who feel just locking people up will confine the spread. Without Mass Testing, the Coronavirus Pandemic Will Keep Spreading Countries such as South Korea that test thousands of people per day have slowed the outbreak. Other nations must adopt Seoul’s model before it’s too late. The key to South Korea’s success has been speed and an early push toward mass testing, rigorous contact tracing, and mandatory quarantine for anyone near a carrier of the virus. The country, with a population of 51 million, tests more than 20,000 people a day at more than 600 testing sites nationwide, while integrating apps that not only track individuals if they have tested positive, but also warn them if they might have been exposed to a known case. https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/03/23/coronavirus-pandemic-south-korea-italy-mass-testing-covid19-will-keep-spreading/ Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones. 3 Likes |

Both the Lagos commissioner for health and the minister of health needs to be sacked. They caused all this rubbish giving the government fake hope that they were prepared, giving them bloody wrong recommendations that people coming into the country should self isolate at home. That's the dumbest thing ever. Stay at home and self isolate for some people that don't even believe the virus is real, or stay at home and self isolate for a returnee from abroad that hasn't been to Nigeria in 10 years and is so eager to mingle with family and friends and explore the city. Who monitored them whether they complied? Oh you just thought because you advise them to stay at home and self isolate, 100% of the abroad returnees will just obey you and lock themselves inside one room alone by themselves for 2 weeks without interacting with anybody in a HIGHLY SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT LIKE LAGOS? These guys got it so wrong from the beginning. They should have recommended from the beginning compulsory 14days isolation for anyone coming into the country from anywhere, and govt move them from airport straight to quarantine centre. It will have cost the govt little money to build and maintain the compulsory isolation policy than to give the potential infected carriers free pass to enter your cities without a guarantee that they will self isolate properly. Now they will spend the whole 2020 budget on Coronavirus and still borrow BECAUSE THEY CHOSE TO BE VERY STUPID IN HANDLING THIS MATTER, A PENNY WISE POUNDS FOOLISH GOVERNMENT! Now you have community spread in a city that PEOPLE CAN'T DO WITHOUT SOCIALIZING, in a place that is the MICROCOSM OF NIGERIA and every tribe is represented in Lagos and once the virus hits Lagos, it will surely circulate across the entire country in a short time. 25 Likes 2 Shares |

by the time the recorded deaths start reaching 200 plus, you will see that many nurses and doctors will run and abandon ship, politicians and government leaders will hide in a hole somewhere inside their luxury mansions and never come out again, police and security will go AWOL because nobody is ready to die for a useless country, the army will be overstretched trying to handle boko haram and terror bandits and killer Fulani herdsmen who may try to exploit the situation to gain exponential grounds, local criminals gangs and criminal underworld will soon start raids everywhere because of a porous security network (has already started to happen).....................Brace up people, anarchy is coming. Arm yourselves, let the men eat and drink medicine to make sure they are in good health, because the time is coming when your families lives will depend on your ability to protect them from criminals and evil gangs. In my area now, people no dey sleep again, na vigilante work the community dey do, na we dey secure awasef now. And ladies God help you if the man you married or bf you have is a coward that can't defend himself, let alone protect another person, you are in trouble! Na now una go understand why women in the past who lived through the dark ages evolved to pick male partners based on strength and courage and ruggedness. But una women of this generation, na fine boy with fine house clothes and money be una criteria. Fine boy that can't fight. Enjoy your fine boy when criminals come knocking on your door and he starts pissing in his pants For my side guys rugged even criminal go fear, dem no ft near this side, cuz criminal wey enta person house here is not going back with his head on his shoulder, he will go back with his head in his hand. God bless the NPF officers who despite working for a hopeless government who don't cater for them well, they still find it in their heart of hearts to perform their duties well in these trying times. I respect you all. 9 Likes |

Very soon its mainland that will be locked out of island and that's where the real issue begins. Alot of houses in mainland are public buildings so the pandemic will be catastrophic and becomes almost impossible to control let alone handle. |

There's is more positive people than the records. Yesterday Channel DATA Analyst said that NCDC has only be able to test 10,000 Nigerian due to lack of infrastructure. Ghana has been able to test 60,000 people. This country can't never get it right. That record will be more than that If more people have been tested. 5 Likes |

OluwaKamoranesi:Lagos mainland is in the lead because those fuckers put a level 3 infectious disease facility on the mainland, right inside a densely populated residential area. A facility that should have been built in a remote area like snake Island or inside a jungle somewhere that has no civilian population. Why didn't they build it in VI, Ikoyi or Lekki? But they will build it right next to the poor. Do you know that when the coronavirus matter started, all the people who developed symptoms and hoping to get tested, all had to find their way to the IDH in Yaba, some of them took public buses and those areas you have to pass to get there are densely populated too. That's why Mainland has the biggest numbers. God punish this hopeless government 22 Likes |
