The question above is necessary after checking coronavirus data within the World and also in Africa. Data don't lie they say
The first Locked-down was announced on March 30th, 2020. At about the same time, Ghana announced theirs.
See below data
Ghana Population 30millions Nigeria 200m
19 days after, Nigeria only concluded 7,153 (average of 377 tests per day) for a population of about 200m
Ghana our neighbor within the same period concluded 68,591 for a population of about 30m
How long are we going to stay at home to achieve what Ghana achieved under 21days?
We sacrifice to stay at home. it seems our leaders are just joking from the data available.
Is it that the test kits are not available and can not be source locally or No money to procure the kits?
No medical personnel to carry out the test? I believe we have more than enough personnel. We have 774 LGA, recruiting 2 personnel in each LGA will give us 1548. Each running 3 tests per day will give us 4644 tests per day.
My concern is how long are we staying at home for our leaders' unseriousness?

We are paying the price.

Price for levity.
Price for corruption.

Initially, the Nigerian government thought it was a child's play until the reality began to set in. I just hope that more tests would be done in coming days as the figures now rising and getting to a thousand.

I refuse to gloat over this piece of disheartening news even though I raised this issue in our Alma Mater forum and was shouted down. So help us God.
We could be having a real problem on our hands.

Forget about the number of cases.

Let's focus on the number of deaths... angry

We can not forget cases, because you have death result from cases. You don't have cases without test.
Test reveal the actual health of the people.

My concern is after this 2 weeks extension. We may likely have another extension if they don't up their test game.
UK does an average of 25,000 test daily.
Can we survive, since most of us depend on daily income?
The corporate body, how long can they pay salary and other overhead cost without full operation?

We might be in a big mess.
The high results we heard this morning of COVID cases in Nigeria was due to the community or house to house testing in Lagos and parts of Abuja; meaning there are numerous unrecorded positive cases around Nigeria.

Government might extend due to the figures we had yesterday night, but I will say its better they ease the lockdown.

Sorry for the corporate establishments.
A nation that cannot proudly and successfully provide palliative measures for its citizens, how can they think of supporting the private businesses?

South Africa that was supporting private businesses still have few who are about to pack up e.g Almighty South African Airline is thinking of laying off its workforce of almost 5,000.

Nigeria is so corrupt, even devil will be amazed.

May God save us.
