Igbos need to start serious manufacturing of goods on a scale never seen before in Africa. Igbos cannot sit down and watch the Chinese use their manufacturing advantage to take over Africa.

Aba, Nnewi, Onitsha need to be Fully Activated.

To be honest, I am not a fan of foreign investors. They tend to run away when things get tough and they don’t usually reinvest their profits locally.

Local investors tend to be more stable. They tend to ride the tough times and reinvest in the local economy.

Automobile technicians
Chemical technicians
Several ICT skills

We would need to work with our Universities ...offering causes needed by the industry ...a university that's dynamic in the programs they offer

Without government support it won't be easy

Then we need an Igbo sovereign funds ...that would invest in Igbo ideas and fund project

Too create and investment where business men would meet innovators ...to strike deals

All road would be major projects would be funded and owned by the people that invest in it
....if say onitsha owerri road cost 100bn ...u can do it say 100,000 per share ...raise the money build the road ...toll the road ...30% for road maintenance ..70% to share holders ...for say 50 years

Airports can be built with ease ...sea ports ...abia sea port can become real ...and the revenue shares among the share holders

Wonderfully stated. I know it wouldn't be easy but the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step. We first need to change our mindset. There are so many things that we import from china that is already made in Aba. There are some that can easily be made in Aba or Nnewi without intense vocational training required.

Lets start small and increase exponentially. There are so many low hanging fruits in the manufacturing sector that we can grab now without making much changes.
