Oh my God.
I hate this nigeria to the core of my mind.

This is a country with all potentials but lack good leaders.
Two hundred millions people is enough as great asset.

But the most useless among us are leading us.

Obviosly one nigeria is a mistake.
Northerners in particular and arewa region in general are the mistakes and drawbacks that has kept the people impoverished for long. The parasitic region is filled with redundant, illiterate brains who contribute nothing to the GDP but suckle on revenue being generated thereby hampering progress and development to better regions. All they contribute is disease, banditry and terrorism.

The southerners are not better.
Obasanjo and jonathan presidency were failure.

The bad governors in the southern states are not northerners.

What resources do we have ...2.3 million barrels a day of oil for 200 million people ?
If oil was say $65 we would make ( 65 -22) x2200000 x 0.55 x 30 ...that'd roughly 1.5 billion dollars a month

1.5 billion dollars a month for 200 million people

That's 2731 naira per head every month ....that's your so called oil money if shared equally

But averagely we can tax everyone 20k a month ( I said average ...some people would pay 20, million some zero ) ... that's would give us 4 trillion a month

If we use the oil money to pay for workers and police and the rest we would still have 4 trillion for capital project

I can't make it simpler than this

Majority of things are made of rocks , Uranium extraction alone is stress less reasonable money.

Not to talk of Agricultural products

Providing farming equipments to Farmers. Buy in bulk from them after harvesting and export to other countries.

Beans and Yams for example, how many local Africans have our types not to talk of Western countries

Kogi state is uranium reach, not to talk of undetected ones.

Some of those evil forests contain high amount of radioactive substance

Lol we are a capitalist country .... do you even know what that means ? ...this is why regional government should be practiced ...cause only igbos are truly capitalist

You want government to be sole buyer and exporter of goods ....are you aware of cost difference in goods ..Ada onitsha yam is 2 times the price of benue yam ...how do you regulate that .....this is not a socialist country

The best government can do is to buy equipment which people can rent then tax them based on profit ...that's the only way government can make revenue ......but as a farmer our man problem is lack of quality seeds which government can't fund cos they are expensive

If uranium mining in Nigeria was profitable companies would be lining up to mine them

There is what is called comparative advantage in business the only minerals we have that is oil, lime stone salt and sand ...the rest we don't that's why the morning sector is dead

That's a fallacy and at bolded do you have proofs to back it up?

but as a farmer our man problem is lack of quality seeds which government can't fund cos they are expensive

How much have been budgeted for health facilities all this year that we have less than 500 ventilators in the whole country not to talk of money budgeted for power.

If uranium mining in Nigeria was profitable companies would be lining up to mine them

Do you have an idea about how many illegal mining going on? Ask what Chinese are coming to do enmass in Nigeria when not that they have any reputable companies about from constructing company

In summary, people like you should not go near the government cos you are clueless on how to turn natural resources to money..

So, this morning, I have been thinking a lot about Nigeria, and palliatives.

A lot of videos have been posted online recently showing Nigerians showing their stimulus packages, and cursing the Nigerian government for being so evil as to give their people nothing, and naturally, a lot of people will curse the Nigerian government, and blame our 'corrupt leaders'

Well, the problem is, corruption aside, we are not a rich country.

Our budget for this year was $26 billion dollars....based on oil being at $50 per barrel (which is not going to happen now). Our reserves stands at $34billion dollars. Excess crude account is a few billion dollars.

Our budget, as it stands can only pay Nigerians a stimulus package of N50000 each, assuming each and every one of the 200 million people gets a cheque of N50000, for a month.

Meanwhile, Canada, where most of us, including me, want to run to, has a budget of $355billion. For 34 million people.

The truth is, we are not a rich country. Rich countries do not rely on one source of income, they rely on diversified sources of income. Here in Nigeria, our economic development has always been based on what raw materials we sell. Yesterday it was agriculture, today it is oil.

And we use the revenue of what we export to import stuff at a value greater than what we export. And we then act surprised when we have to start taking loans.

Look, if we stopped looting, and WE MUST STOP LOOTING.....that still leaves us with the fact that our budget is 26billion dollars...which is far less than the budget deficit of the state of Mississippi, USA.(Which by the way is one of the US's poorest states).

Even if we did not vote for Buhari, and God knows I wish we did not vote for him, or the PDP...but for a party led by technocrats...there is the fact that we are not earning a budget enough to take care of 200million people.

Let's face facts. Our country cannot pay palliatives for 200million Nigerians. That they are paying some people some money is even a miracle....especially when they have to take loans to make up the resulting deficit.

Nigeria must become an industrial nation. We must vote for a leadership that will take us there. It is our only hope. We cannot remain hooked to oil forever.

P.S Just to emphasize....if we gave Nigerians , all Nigerians 20000 naira, our entire budget for the year would be depleted in three months. Where do we get money to pay salaries, etc when this crisis is over.

Hmmm..

So these kinda breeds still exist in Nigeria?
